Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In his description of the Great Northern Hotel, which specific feature of his room does Cooper consider to be a "nice consideration for the business traveller"?

Answer: Non-smoking room

Cooper is describing his accommodation to Diane, the often mentioned but never seen recipient of his dictaphone tapes: "Slept pretty well. Non-smoking room. There's no tobacco smell. That's a nice consideration for the business traveller. A hint of douglas fir needles in the air.

As Sheriff Truman indicated they would, everything this hotel promised, they've delivered: clean, reasonably priced accommodations ... telephone works ... bathroom in really tip-top shape ... no drips, plenty of hot water and good, steady pressure ... could be a side benefit of the waterfall outside my window ... mattress firm, but not too firm."
2. What is Cooper's hotel room number?

Answer: 315

Again, this fact is mentioned in Cooper's recorded message to Diane. Cooper remains in the same room at the Great Northern throughout his stay in Twin Peaks.
3. Which of these people has a mouthful of food when Cooper first greets them on his arrival at the Sheriff's office?

Answer: All three of these

The staff of the Sheriff's station are all indulging in their favourite morning refreshment, coffee and doughnuts. Cooper encounters Lucy, Andy and Truman in turn, all three of whom have a mouthful of doughnut - causing him to exclaim "Hey, three for three".
4. At what road junction did James last see Laura?

Answer: Sparkwood and 21

I'm sure any 'Twin Peaks' fan will have no problem with this one, as this junction is often mentioned and is the site of one of those famous (dare I say iconic) swinging traffic lights.
5. What is James's cell number?

Answer: 4

Once again it is Cooper who provides us with this information: "Sheriff, let's get James Hurley up from cell four and talk to him straight."
6. James asks for assistance from which secret society?

Answer: The Bookhouse Boys

James asks his uncle Ed for the Bookhouse Boys to watch his back, Ed says they already have it covered. As for the other names above, the Roadhouse is a popular venue in Twin Peaks, The Masons are a real life "secret" society, and The Stonecutters are their "Simpsons" equivalent!
7. According to Truman, Cooper has the metabolism of what?

Answer: A Bumblebee

"Man-oh-man, you must have the metabolism of a bumblebee." Truman is moved to make this comment after Cooper quickly polishes off a slice of pie at the Double R Diner, and promptly orders two more pieces.
8. "Too bad we can only kill him once" - who says this line, and who are they talking about?

Answer: Bobby about James

Bobby makes this comment to Mike, when the two of them pull up outside Donna's house and see James is already there. Bobby knew that James had been seeing Laura behind his back, and it now seems he's messing around with Donna (Mike's girlfriend) too.
9. Who now has the other half of the heart pendant?

Answer: Dr Jacoby

In this episode we discover that it was Jacoby's gloved hand which dug up the pendant, after James and Donna had buried it in the pilot episode.
10. What is the last scene with spoken dialogue?

Answer: Jacoby in his office

The last scene is Jacoby in his office, listening to one of the tapes Laura had made for him - we hear a snippet: "...I just know I'm going to get lost in those woods again tonight. I just know it. Remember me telling you about that mystery man. Well..." at which point Jacoby puts on his headphones and we can no longer hear.
