Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who was the first character to appear onscreen on "Twin Peaks"?

Answer: Josie Packard

David Lynch originally created the character for Isabella Rossellini, in which case she would have been Italian!
2. Who does not appear in Agent Cooper's dream?

Answer: The Giant

The infamous dream in question occurs at the end of the second episode. This is one of the small handful of episodes directed by David Lynch. The Giant does not appear to Cooper until the first episode of the second season, after Cooper is shot.
3. What two roads intersect with the wind-tossed traffic light that is famously associated with the show?

Answer: Sparkwood and 21

The swinging traffic light was on the cover of the European video release of the pilot, which isn't the same as the pilot that aired on t.v.
4. How many brothers did Jacques Renault have?

Answer: 2

Jacques was the fat middle child. His older brother was Jean, his younger was Bernard.
5. Who was not at the Gathering of Angels?

Answer: Annie Blackburn

Windom Earle sent each girl a portion of a poem as a warning to Agent Cooper that he was going to kill one of the three. Earle did not yet know about Cooper's newfound love for Annie, or he would have certainly chosen her instead.
6. One of the clues given by the Giant is "Without chemicals, he _______".

Answer: points

The Giant was referring to Philip Gerard, the One-Armed Man. Gerard takes the drug Haliperidol to prevent "possession" by Mike, the supposedly reformed evil spirit who was Bob's partner in crime.
7. How many characters were admitted to Twin Peaks' hospital in the first episode of season two?

Answer: 5

They were Cooper and Leo (both shot) and Shelly and Pete (smoke inhalation)and Nadine Hurley (suicide attempt via pill overdose). Jacques was already in the hospital, where he was strangled to death by Leland Palmer (Dr. Jacoby was in the room next door and heard it happen). Catherine and Josie both went missing that night too. Busy night!
8. At Laura's funeral, the minister concludes his prayer with an "Amen". Which two characters loudly answer "Amen" back?

Answer: Johnny Horne and Bobby Briggs

Johnny was autistic and rarely spoke, so his outburst was unexpected. Bobby's sarcastic couple of Amens were followed by a scathing speech about the hypocrisy of the citizens of Twin Peaks, and then a free-for-all as he tried to attack James. Talk about respect for the dead!
9. Windom Earle shot Agent Cooper.

Answer: False

Windom Earle stabbed Cooper in what many fans call the Black Lodge. However, it was Josie Packard who was responsible for Cooper's shooting.
10. Who was the last character to appear onscreen in the series?

Answer: Laura Palmer

In the final scene of the episode, we see Cooper in the mirror, having been "possessed" by Bob. (Incidentally, Josie's appearance at the top of the series was actually her reflection in the mirror as she applies her makeup.) But...during the closing credits of the final episode, it is Laura's face that can be seen in a cup of coffee sitting on a table in the red room.

She is actually the last image that the great David Lynch wanted us to see!
