According to TV.com, the pubs that both the guys (The Archer) and girls (The Mayhew) hang out were named after the shows script editor Paul Mayhew-Archer. After the first season The Mayhew is never mentioned again and everyone drinks in The Archer.

Jonny was worried that he was falling in love with Louise. He went shopping with her and they sat in the park for a while, and while Louise was talking Jonny kissed her. He then spat and said she tasted predominantly of lard, with a little bit of medicine mixed in.

In the episode "When Janet Killed Jonny", the gang broke into the recently closed down Archer to drink the leftover stock and eat the leftover crisps and peanuts. They soon start to experience 'The Curse of the Archer', a curse that means the gang will be killed what they love the most.

'Ugly babies' is the first episode to feature the 'F' word and this scene is used in every season finale.

That's right, Donna and Gaz got pretend-married! They stood in for Janet and Jonny at the ceremony because they had gone missing on their wedding day. What had happened was Jonny and Janet had woken up in their wedding clothes in the back of an Iceland after Kelly released Jonny from his lamppost.

They then ended up making their vows in the back of the van to each other while Donna and Gaz were marrying them. They soon realized that the van they were in was carrying their wedding buffet and turned up at the registry office just in time for pictures!
