Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is one WB show that had just an instrumental theme song (no lyrics)?

Answer: Angel

The theme song for "Popular" was "Supermodel" by Kendall Payne, "Dawson's Creek" is by Paula Cole, and "Charmed" is a remake of "How Soon is Now?" by Love Spit Love. The theme for "Angel" was an instrumental composed by Darling Violetta. They went on to create the theme for Eliza Dushku's series "Tru Calling".
2. Who performs the theme song for "Dawson's Creek"?

Answer: Paula Cole

I remember the previews commercials for "Dawson's Creek" before the show started and they even used the song there, but I thought that I had heard that they didn't end up getting the rights for the song until right before the show started. Anyone else remember hearing that?
3. "It's just that I'm tired of being compared" is a line from what theme song?

Answer: Popular

I loved this show, I was upset when they took it off the air! The song is called "Supermodels" by Kendall Payne, I believe that she was featured in the first episode, but I may be remembering wrong, it was a while ago.
4. "Felicity" used a Madonna song as a TV promo for awhile.

Answer: True

The song was "Power of Goodbye", I believe that it is on the "Ray of Light" CD.
5. What was the theme song to "Roswell" called?

Answer: Here With Me

"Here With Me" is performed by Dido, off of her "I'm No Angel" CD, which also includes the track "Thank You". "If You Want Me To" is by Ginny Owens, and actually is played in the season one episode where Alex and Liz's friendship is beginning to fall apart because of her lying to him about Max.
6. What band performs the "Buffy" theme?

Answer: Nerfherder

Nerfherder actually got their name from a line in a "Star Wars" movie. Pricess Leia calls Han "a scruffy looking nerfherder"!
7. What movie about witches is the theme song from "Charmed" also featured in?

Answer: The Craft

Love Spit Love remade The Smiths' "How Soon is Now", which is featured in "The Craft" and "Charmed".
8. The "Dawson's Creek" theme has been just instrumental.

Answer: True

Actually twice, in the fifth season. The episode "The Long Goodbye" where Dawson's dad dies and also in "Downtown Crossing" which centers on Joey's ordeal with the mugger.

9. Ok, not a theme song question, but a song question nonetheless. What was Liz and Max's wedding song in "Roswell"?

Answer: I Shall Believe

This was only one of my absolute favorite episodes when future Max has to come back to break up Liz and Max, aired in season 2 I believe. I almost cried when Liz and Future Max were dancing to their song. Tear!
10. What was the theme song to the short-lived "Young Americans"?

Answer: "Six Pacs" by The Getaway People

The short-lived summer show was one of my favorites, I was sad when they didn't continue it!
