She made references to Queenie on more than on occasion, and in the episode where Whitley was supposed to marry Byron, we actually get to see Queenie's face.

She kept a picture of him hanging up in her apartment in the dorm, and when the dorm was in danger of burning down, she actually rescued the picture of Denzel.

Freddie really liked Dwayne, and he really liked Whitley.

She always called him Chipmunk. Woodchuck was the nickname for her husband, and Bunny was what Dwayne called Whitley. Whitley always called Dwayne Pookie.

The sound of it makes my stomach turn, but Dwayne loved prune cobbler. Mrs. Wayne, played by singer/actress Patti LaBelle, would always feed it to him and say, "Eat your cobbler and stay regular for mama."

She dated Ron, and Matthew, but Spencer was the lucky man who was promised to marry her. Of course Shazza was Freddie's boyfriend, and he and Kim never got along.

He always talked about Velma. We actually got to see her in a few episodes, including the one where Whitley got married.

We learn this in the episode where Whitley is supposed to marry Byron. Courtney thinks that because she was recently married, that she knew everything about weddings. She commented on the fact that her husband's name, Myron, rhymes with Byron.

This was in the episode where Kim was really upset at the display of Mammy in the dorm. Kim felt that because of her dark skin, people would associate Mammy with her just like the judge at the party had done so many years ago.

Almost every "Cosby Show" character made at least one appearance on "A Different World." Charmaine even went on to be a regular cast member, but Pam never appeared on the spin off.

She was illegally cooking gumbo in her room. Her cooking combined with faulty wires, caused a fire in the dorm.

Answer: Alpha Delta Rho

They only made reference to her sorority in one episode. Whitley acted as the dean of pledges, Big Sister Gorgeous One. Alpha Delta Rho was a fictional African-American sorority at the time. Today, there really is a multicultural sorority called Alpha Delta Rho. It was founded in 1998, and has absolutely nothing to do with the sorority on "A Different World."

Answer: Kappa Lamda Nu

Their colors were purple and gold. This was shown throughout the seasons; from the time Ron was pledged to the time he was pledging other boys and beyond. Kappa Lamda Nu is a fictional fraternity, but unlike Whitley's sorority, it appeared in many episodes.

Answer: Hillman

Of course Kimberly attended Hillman for medical school. While she was attending medical school, Freddie attended law school. The two of them acted as the resident directors of Dorothy Height Hall.

Dwayne didn't want to buy it, but he wanted to make Whitley happy. She was an art buyer and knew the painting was a good investment. However, the same day he bought it, Whitley lost her job and they were robbed. Talk about bad luck.

Avery was a neighboring college of Hillman. Freddie's white cousin that dated Kim, Matthew, also attended Avery. Kinu had always gone to school there, but did not meet Dwayne until they were both interning in Japan for Kinishewa. Kinu is half Japanese, and Whitley hated her for being with Dwayne.

Answer: Jamal

Jamal came to Hillman pretending to be a simple man with no knowledge of finer things, and almost won the heart of Whitley Gilbert until his cover was blown. His intentions were good, but his method was heartless and insensitive.

Answer: Another Bad Creation (ABC)

Immature appeared in a few episodes as three of Whitley's students. They did not portray singers on this show. They appeared during the time when the band consisted of Marques "Batman" Houston, Jerome "Romeo" Jones, and Don "Half Pint" Santos. Kelton "LDB" Kessee had not been added to the group at this time. Kriss Kross starred as gang members in need of guidance in the episode, "Original Teacher." At the end of the episode, they performed their real life song, "It's a Shame." The Boys starred in an episode playing a musical group, Mice 2 Men.

They sang their real life hit song, "Crazy," and beat Ron and Expression in a singing competition. Another Bad Creation never appeared in an episode though.

Answer: Gary Dourdan

Gary Dourdan has never played another role like the role of Shazza, yet I could not imagine anyone else doing a better job. He is a very talented and handsome actor.
