In a scene when Evelyn and Zoe are outside Meadowlands, pumping gas, a peppy girl came up to Zoe and and exclaimed "I know you! Nicky, right? We met at that slumber party?". Zoe denied ever meeting the girl and after the event, was very reluctant to ever leave Meadowlands, for reasons that were never conveyed in the remaining episodes.

Zoe was played by actress/model Felicity Jones, who was in the BBC One miniseries "The Diary of Anne Frank" and "That Face" at the Royal Court Theatre.

Jack was only fourteen when he kidnapped a woman. Fear was what thrilled Jack, and that became more apparent as we got to know the character.

Jack was played by actor Tom Hardy who also made appearances in "Black Hawk Down" and "Band of Brothers". He was 29 years old when "Cape Wrath" was made.

Mark had Autism Spectrum Disorder, which affects roughly 35 million people worldwide. People with autism are not dumb - quite the contrary. They often lack social skills, but excel in things such as art or science, and are usually extremely smart.

Mark was played by actor Harry Treadaway, who can also be noted for his roles in "Brothers of the Head" and "City of Ember".

Mark had an infatuation with Brenda from the very first episode - he was often seen spying on her through his bedroom window. Brenda eventually "caved in" to what he wanted, but later backed out, telling Mark that he made her look desperate.

Brenda was played by actress Melanie Hill who can also be noted for her appearance in "Stardust" and for her marriage to actor Sean Bean.

They were in a black car, blindfolded, on their way to their new home in Meadowlands. The reason they were blindfolded was because they weren't allowed to know where Meadowlands was located, for their "safety".

Evelyn paid a visit to the doctor, who informed her that Danny was infertile, leading down to the fact that Mark and Zoe were not biologically Danny's children. This fact greatly upset Evelyn, as she didn't want to make Danny feel guilty about keeping her from having a baby, or angry about the idea that she had had an affair early on in their marriage. Unfortunately, the doctor was able to use that information as blackmail towards Evelyn.

Mark's hands were badly burnt in a fire prior to moving to Meadowlands, so he wore black gloves to cover up the scars most of the time, even when indoors. A viewer only had a chance to see his bare hands in a few scenes in the entire series.

There were only 8 episodes in "Cape Wrath" as the show was not very popular and there wasn't enough plot to move it much further. The fans of the show did protest when the last episode aired in August 2007, asking for more episodes, but Channel 4 did not deliver any more episodes.

David Morrissey, who is from Liverpool, is best known for his performances in "The Reaping" and "The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep". In 2004, Mr. Morrissey won an RTS Television Award in the category of Best Male Actor for his performance in "The Deal".

Mark and Zoe were twins - Zoe was older and stronger, whilst Mark was the younger, weaker one. Mark and Zoe knew each other so well, they instinctively knew what each other was thinking, and therefore, often had conversations without spoken words.

Actor Harry Treadaway, who played Mark, had to dye his dark blonde hair brown for the role of Mark, to match the hair color of Felicity Jones, who played Zoe.
