1. I was born in Galway, Ireland and was turned into a vampire in 1753. Gypsies cursed me in 1898 by restoring my soul and I suffered terrible guilt over my crimes as a vampire. I came to Sunnydale where I fell in love with the slayer.

Answer: Angel

Angel is played by David Boreanaz. Angel joined Buffy in series one and fought along side her until he lost my soul by having "one moment of true happiness" after which he became evil again and Buffy had to kill him. Angel was brought back but eventually left Sunnydale after realising that Buffy and he had no future. He now has my own series.

2. I first came to Sunnydale as a vengeance demon but after Giles destroyed my power source I was forced to live as human. I fell in love with Xander but he broke my heart when he left me at the altar on our wedding day.

Answer: Anya

Anya is played by Emma Caulfield. She joined Buffy in series three after granting Cordelia's wish and creating an alternative Sunnydale. Anya became a regular in series four when she got together with Xander and was killed in "Chosen" trying to save Andrew.

3. I am "The Chosen One". I came to Sunnydale when I was 16 and quickly realised that I could not get away from my destiny.

Answer: Buffy

Buffy is played by Sarah Michelle Gellar. The first episode, "Welcome To The Hellmouth" saw Buffy moving to Sunnydale with her mother after being expelled from her old school. She met up with her new watcher who told her Sunnydale was built on a Hellmouth. She also found friends for life in Xander and Willow.

4. I first arrived in Sunnydale in the series two episode "School Hard". I am a vampire with psychic abilities and I was sired by Angelus.

Answer: Drusilla

Drusilla is played by Juliet Landau. Drusilla arrived in Sunnydale with Spike. She was sired by Angelus and you later find out he made her insane by killing her family before finally turning her on the day she was to take her orders at a convent.

5. I am an old friend of Giles and I worship chaos. I seem to cause trouble every time I am in Sunnydale by turning all adults into teenagers or people into their Halloween costumes.

Answer: Ethan Rayne

Ethan Rayne is played by Robin Sachs. In the series two episode "Halloween" he opened a costume shop which made everyone become what they were dressed up as and in series four he returned to Sunnydale to warn Giles about "314" and to also turn Giles into a "Fyarl Demon".

6. I was one of three Hell gods who ruled over a demon dimension. When I started to get too powerful I was banished and trapped inside a human body.

Answer: Glory

Glory was played by Clare Kramer. She was the big bad of series five and she could only be killed when she was in her human form of Ben. She was trying to find her key, which was Dawn, so that she could get back to her own dimension.

7. I was a very shy Wicca who met and fell in love with Willow. I was shot and killed by Warren in the series six episode "Seeing Red".

Answer: Tara Maclay

Tara was played by Amber Benson and came into "Buffy" in series four. She got together with Willow but never really felt like one of the "Scoobies". She was very close to Dawn too. Tara broke up with Willow when she started using to much magic. They were reunited but Tara was shot by Warren when he was trying to kill Buffy and tragically died.

8. I was very shy when I first made friends with Buffy but now I am a powerful Wicca.

Answer: Willow Rosenberg

Willow is played by Alyson Hannigan. She has been in Buffy from the very first episode. She dated Oz, who was a werewolf, for a while and when he left she was heartbroken. She soon found love again with fellow wiccan Tara Maclay. Willow soon found herself addicted to magic and Tara left her because of this.

They were reunited but Tara was killed and a grief stricken Willow ingested all the black magic she could and went after Warren, Andrew and Jonathan. Only Xander could stop her from destroying the world.

9. I am a vampire who was sired by The Master on my deathbed. I am responsible for siring Angel.

Answer: Darla

Darla was played by Julie Benz. She was the first vampire to be seen on "Buffy" in the episode "Welcome To The Hellmouth". She was killed in the episode "Angel" by Angel. She popped up again though in the series "Angel" when she was brought back to life.

10. I am a snooty cheerleader who reluctantly became one of the "Scooby Gang". I had a relationship with Xander but broke up when I caught him kissing Willow.

Answer: Cordelia Chase

Cordelia was played by Charisma Carpenter. Cordy used to make fun of Willow and Xander but eventually became a member of the gang. She left at the end of series three to try to become an actress in LA but ended up working at "Angel Investigations" with Angel and Wesley.

11. I played guitar in a band and when my little cousin bit me it caused me to become a werewolf three nights of the month.

Answer: Daniel Osbourne

Oz was first seen on screen in "Inca Mummy Girl" where he saw Willow for the first time and fell in love. He left in series four and Willow was heartbroken. By the time he returned with the werewolf under control Willow had found love again with Tara. Oz was played by Seth Green.

12. I am one of Buffy's best friends. I dated Cordelia and Anya. I lost an eye to Caleb in series seven.

Answer: Xander

Xander fell for Buffy as soon as he saw her but realised she was never going to feel the same way and so became one of her best friends. He has been in Buffy since the very first episode. Xander is played by Nicholas Brendon.

13. I am Buffy's watcher and was librarian at Sunnydale High until I blew it up to kill The Mayor.

Answer: Rupert Giles

Giles was Buffy's watcher until he was fired in series three for having a father's love for her. He got his job back in series five when Buffy realised that the Watcher's Council needed her more than she needed them. Giles was played by Anthony Stewart Head.

14. I am a vampire who was known as "William The Bloody". I was a big bad until the initiative put a chip in my head.

Answer: Spike

Spike came into "Buffy" in series two and was originally meant to be killed off but he turned out to be very popular so became a main character in series 4. He fell in love with Buffy and they got together a few times. After Buffy told him it was over he left Sunnydale and when he returned he had fought to get his soul.

He died saving the world in "Chosen" but was brought back as a regular in "Angel". Spike was played by James Marsters.

15. I turned up in series five as Buffy's sister.

Answer: Dawn Summers

Dawn came into "Buffy" in series five at the end of the series opener "Buffy vs Dracula". You found out later that she was The Key, a ball of energy, that is used to open a gate to all dimensions. Monks had put the key into human form and sent her to Buffy as a sister to protect her and hide her from Glory. Dawn was played by Michelle Trachtenberg.

16. I am a very old vampire. My name means "worst of the worst" and I appeared in season three.

Answer: Kakistos

Kakistos came to Sunnydale looking for Faith. He was responsible for killing Faith's watcher. He was so old his hands had become cloven. Kakistos was played by Jeremy Roberts.

17. I came to Sunnydale as Buffy and Faith's watcher after Giles was fired.

Answer: Wesley Wyndham-Pryce

Wesley came Sunnydale in series three to take over the role as watcher. He didn't do a very good job as he lost Faith to The Mayor and Buffy quit the council. He left Sunnydale and became a "rogue demon hunter" and joined Angel and Cordelia at Angel Investigations. Wesley was played by Alexis Denisof.

18. I was one of Cordelia's best friends. I was bitten by a vampire on Graduation Day and turned. I dated Spike for a while.

Answer: Harmony

Harmony Kendall was one of the "Cordettes". She was bitten by a vampire in "Graduation Day, Part 2" and returned in series four as a vampire and dating Spike. She left Sunnydale and now works as Angel's secretary at "Wolfram & Hart". Harmony was played by Mercedes McNab.

19. I am the founder of Sunnydale and the big bad of series three. I had an ascension where I turned into a giant snake but was blown up by Giles and Buffy.

Answer: Mayor Richard Wilkins

Mayor Richard Wilkins III was played by Harry Groener. You heard mention of him in series two but never actually saw him until the series three episode "Homecoming". He had a soft spot for Faith after she turned bad and went to work for him and he became like the father she never had.

20. I am one of three geeks who teamed up to try and take over the world. My older brother was responsible for releasing the "hell hounds" at the prom.

Answer: Andrew

Andrew Wells was one of the trio from season six. When Willow flayed Warren for shooting Tara, Andrew fled to Mexico with Jonathan. He returned in series six and helped Buffy and the gang in their fight against the first. Anya died saving his life and he is now a watcher in training and has appeared in "Angel". Andrew was played by Tom Lenk.
