We get to hear some of his "bloody awful poetry" twice: once in season 5's "Fool For Love" and again in season 7's "Lies My Parents Told Me."

A man in a flashback in "Fool For Love" says he'd rather have a railroad spike through his head than listen to another one of William's poems. Giles reads this information aloud in a season two episode of "Buffy" when he researching Spike.
