Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What ship is Mulder looking for?

Answer: Queen Anne

Mulder believes that the Queen Anne, a luxury liner which disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle in 1939 and was never recovered, has reappeared in 1998 through some "rip" in the time-space continuum. He charters a boat alone so that he can be the first to make the discovery of the lost ship but a storm blows in, destroying his boat and casting him into the Atlantic.
2. While locked in the Captain's office, after the ship's crew imprisons him, Mulder encounters a German officer who looks like whom?

Answer: Jeffrey Spender

Mulder fights the Jeffrey Spender look-alike and knocks him unconscious. Mulder takes his German uniform and escapes from the Captain' office, looking for help. In Nazi uniform, Mulder evades German soldiers and makes his way into the Ballroom.
3. What song is Scully dancing to in the Ballroom?

Answer: Jeepers Creepers (Where'd You Get Those Peepers)

The 1939 Scully is dancing with a gentlemen who turns out to be the scientist the Germans are looking for, Thor's Hammer. And if you look closely, the blonde singer of the band looks suspiciously like Kersh's secretary.
4. What does Scully call 1998 and 1939 Spender?

Answer: weasel

There is no love lost here! Scully calls him a weasel in 1998 when she realizes that he has taken her information request about Mulder to AD Kersh, and in 1939 when he threatens to kill more passengers if Mulder does identify Thor's Hammer.
5. Back in 1998, who is in AD Kersh's office when Scully bursts in to ask him for help in locating Mulder?

Answer: CSM

Without looking, she starts explaining to Kersh that she needs help finding Mulder. When she realizes that Cigarette Smoking Man is in the office, she tries to apologize and quickly leave but Kersh takes the paper containing Mulder's coordinates and then dismisses her.

At a loss for where to go next, she heads to Agent Spender's office (which used to be Mulder's office). Spender tells Scully he'll help her but actually takes the information directly to Kersh. That weasel!
6. Back in 1939, the engine crew is attempting to override the German coordinates and steer toward which country?

Answer: Jamaica

Most of the crew is from Jamaica, including the engine crew's leader who looks like AD Kersh. Mulder tells them not to steer for Jamaica or Germany or anywhere else. He wants them to steer back into the Bermuda Triangle in hopes that the Queen Anne will go back through the time-warp.

He tells them that if they don't, they'll disrupt history, the Germans will win the war and freedom will be lost forever.
7. Mulder and 1939 Scully manage to escape from the Ballroom as the crew storm in and try to overtake the German soldiers. As the two are running down the hallway, they are stopped by the Nazis. Who helps them escape?

Answer: Skinner

Mulder and 1939 Scully surrender and as they wait to be executed by the Germans, Skinner steps in and shoots the soldiers. He says to Mulder and Scully "God bless America, now get your @$$es out of here". Skinner is ever the good guy!
8. When Scully and the Lone Gunman make it on board the ship, who does Scully pair off with?

Answer: no one

Scully signals for the Lone Gunmen to take one way and she sets off alone to investigate one of the corridors. When the four of them rejoin, they enter the Ballroom together to find it in total disrepair. It is dark, dusty and there are no signs of life.
9. What does Mulder say to 1939 Scully just before he kisses her?

Answer: So in case we never meet again...

After they kiss, Scully punches him in the face. Mulder jumps overboard, presumably back to 1998, and she throws him a lifesaver. I guess there was no harm in showing Scully how he felt since they may never have seen each other again.
10. After Mulder is rescued and recuperating in the hospital, he tries to convince Scully that he found the ship, but what does she tell him it really was?

Answer: a ghost ship

But Mulder knows better. He touches his cheek because he can still feel the bruise where 1939 Scully hit him after they kissed. He smiles in the memory of his great adventure.
