Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. One of the most common term used in "Runescape" is "GP". It literally means which of the following?

Answer: gold piece

As coins (gold pieces) are commonly used/earned in "Runescape", "gp" would be mentioned often.
Note: "560gp" means 560 coins.
2. What can the letter K stand for?

Answer: Both of these

Instead of saying "Okay", players simply express their agreement to others as "K". This is not to be confused with "K" as in "10K" or "15K", as in money. "15K", for example, means 15 * 1,000, or 15,000 gold pieces.
3. Which metal does "addy" stand for?

Answer: adamant

This is commonly used as "addy sword", "addy scimitar", and so on. Dragon, on the other hand, is simply referred as a "d", as in "d'hide body", or "d platebody".
4. Which skill is simplified as "attk" in "Runescape"?

Answer: attack

"Attk" is often used when sharing your skill levels with others. However, "attk", "atk", and "atck" are all acceptable forms.
5. Now we will discuss something in the members' world. What is the "abyssal whip" commonly referred as?

Answer: "abby whip"

The abyssal whip is a unique weapon that can only be obtainable from killing an abyssal demon. To kill the demon your slayer level needs to be 85. The abyssal whip is highly respected by members because it offers +82 strength bonus and +82 slash.
Info provided by tip.it/runescape.
6. There are two definitions of P2P. One of them is "Pay-to-play", which refers to the Runescape world only available for members. Which sentence below has the correct usage of the other one?

Answer: "P2P" can only be done in the Wilderness.

The term "P2P" also means Player-to-Player, which is obviously combat between two characters controlled by two actual people. Don't get the two confused!
7. What kind of an object is a "nat"?

Answer: a rune

Nature runes are known as nats. Remember that nature runes have a green design on them and are commonly used in bind and alchemy spells.
8. Which god is often referred to as "Zammy"?

Answer: Zamorak

Zamorak is featured on god armor (obtainable on members' treasure trails) and the magic staff. In that case, anyone who has obtained all of the Zamorak god armor would be wearing "full zammy".
9. "Mods" are very important in "Runescape". Rule breakers, be warned! Who are mods?

Answer: short for "moderators"

Moderators help "Runescape" by reporting rule breakers and have the ability to mute other players for any reason at all. Don't even THINK about impersonating a moderator or you'll be breaking a rule yourself!
10. A term that is not often used is a "key logger". Note that someone using a key logger could find himself/herself in trouble. What is a "key logger" anyway?

Answer: something that steals passwords

Key loggers are viruses that note the keys the user types in certain applications and forms. Key loggers, in this case, could note the letters typed in the Runescape login screen and steal someone's password. To prevent this, run a virus scan often.
Thanks to froggym for pointing this out; I was badly misinformed by a Runescape fansite.
11. Which of the following cities has been abbreviated as "Fally"?

Answer: Falador

To the west of Draynor Manor and north of Port Sarim lies Falador. Falador contains an entrance to the Mining Guild and the White Knight's castle.
12. When might you call someone a "noob"?

Answer: when someone nearby is inexperienced and new to the game

Although a little insulting or confusing to the other, a "noob" is short for the word "neophyte", which is someone new to the game. I recommend NOT saying this to people in Lumbridge.
13. Where might you be "PK-ing"?

Answer: in the Wilderness

"PK-ing", or player killing, is done in the Wilderness. It is a fun/suspenseful area in the northern reigons of "Runescape" where non-members and members alike can test their skills against others. The deeper, the more dangerous it gets...
It's not recommended for some players to go on "PK-ing groups" with others unless it's a friend of yours; the leader may decide to kill you!
14. What do you say when you wish to drop the current subject?

Answer: "nvm"

"Nvm" stand for "never mind". This is a very polite way to end the conversation, since Jagex doesn't accept crude remarks in the chatting system of the game.
15. Typing too many abbreviated words in "Runescape" may affect your writing skills in the long run.

Answer: True

Although it's faster and more convenient, doing too much so-called chatting shorthand is probably not a good idea. If you can, try typing in complete and error-free sentences, no matter what comments you get from others. That way, your future writing would be free of errors. Good luck!
