Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Robo-Patrick is the boss of choice here. Robo-Patrick boasts an unorthodox, yet ideal weapon befitting for a portrayal of Patrick Star. What weapon does Robo-Patrick wield?

Answer: An acidic ice cream cone

Robo-Patrick will frequently lick from the acidic ice cream cone, then either spit it out at the player as an attack or lick it a few times before launching a more complex attack.
2. Robo-Patrick may have also discreetly packed a few mints, maybe some ice cubes, somewhere for its alternate attack. What is Robo-Patrick's alternate attack?

Answer: Frost breath

Getting caught by this will freeze the player solid for a fairly lengthy period of time, leaving them susceptible to getting hit by a follow-up. Fortunately, it is very easily telegraphed, slow, and thereby is pretty simple to dodge.
3. Overall, how many Golden Spatulas are needed to access the Industrial Park and confront Robo-Patrick?

Answer: Forty

Hypothetically, if the player happened to be a major completionist, completely unlocking every single Golden Spatula has to offer in an individual map, they would have enough Golden Spatulas to challenge Robo-Patrick by the time they finished the Mermalair. Of course, such a player would probably be inclined to finish Sand Mountain first, but I digress.
4. Robo-Patrick, much like Robo-Sandy, can only be damaged if the player strikes it in one particular spot. What part of Robo-Patrick's body does the player have to hit in order to damage it?

Answer: Robo-Patrick's back

On Robo-Patrick's back, a large "Kick me!" sign can be found. However, it is not initially possible to actually hit Robo-Patrick, as the giant robot will eye down the player, constantly watching them as they move, so flanking it will not be possible. The only window of opportunity to strike Robo-Patrick comes when it uses its deadliest attack. Robo-Patrick will take several licks of its ice cream cone, then spin very quickly and randomly fire off numerous gobs of acidic residue all around the Industrial Park. If the player gets hit, Robo-Patrick will immediately stop, laugh, then continue eyeing them down. If the player dodges all the blasts, Robo-Patrick will eventually stop and be rendered dizzy.

The player can then flank and strike Robo-Patrick on the "Kick me!" sign.
5. The task of defeating Robo-Patrick proves to be a bit too tall for SpongeBob alone to handle. Who aids SpongeBob in taking down the big robo baddy as a playable character?

Answer: Sandy

After striking Robo-Patrick three times, a cutscene will play where Robo-Patrick freezes SpongeBob with its frost breath. With all seeming bleak, Sandy will intervene and defend SpongeBob, as the second phase will begin with the player taking control of Sandy.
6. During the second phase of the fight, Robo-Patrick will pull a lever that will significantly change the environment of the Industrial Park. What deadly new element will begin to fill the area as Robo-Patrick does this?

Answer: Goo

In the first phase, the layout of Industrial Park was such where there were numerous platforms and two conveyor belts surrounding a large, metal floor area where Robo-Patrick stood. Once the second phase begins, things will remain that way. Once Robo-Patrick is struck once in the second phase, it will pull a lever and the metal floor in the middle of the Industrial Park will fill up with deadly Goo. Like with Goo in open world maps, it is not traversable and thus, confines the player to the platforms and conveyor belts surrounding the area.

This becomes quite the challenge for the player to safely strike Robo-Patrick, as approaching him with a melee attack is no longer safe and thus, requires the ability to take a hit from the Goo first. This forces the player, and whichever character they're controlling, to remain healthy enough to do so. Fortunately, SpongeBob has a projectile option in the Bubble Bowl to overcome this, but Sandy is not so fortunate.
7. During the third and final phase of the fight, Robo-Patrick's alternate attack changes in a difficult way that can really force the player to stay alert. What's new about Patrick's alternate attack?

Answer: It is now a spread attack

Instead of just breathing his frost breath in one space, Robo-Patrick will now oscillate with the move, which is a very tall attack to begin with. Unfortunately, where Sandy's Lasso Glide would make it pretty easy to still dodge this, SpongeBob has no such mobility advantage, and it becomes tricky to dodge this move since the player cannot switch back to Sandy for this phase of the fight.
8. Back from the Poseidome, the anchor for "Bikini Bottom News" is dedicated on keeping the public informed on what exactly is going on in the treacherous Industrial Park. This iconic background character will, like in the Poseidome, feed BBN's viewers with creative play-by-play on the fight as well. Who is this?

Answer: Realistic Fish Head

Much like the Poseidome, Realistic Fish Head will constantly comment whenever the player hits the robot, or vice versa. "Do-see-do and around you go!" is the iconic liner here for whenever Robo-Patrick uses its deadliest attack, of spinning around and throwing out gobs of acid.
9. What is the player award with for winning the fight?

Answer: A Golden Spatula

A ho-hum reward for the most part. Fortunately, this is not the only benefit from winning this fight.
10. Much like the Poseidome, SpongeBob unlocks a new power once Robo-Patrick is defeated. What new power is this?

Answer: Cruise Missile

The Cruise Missile is a remote-operated, first-person bubble missile that the player can guide for a very long range. Upon creating, the player has seven seconds to collide the missile with their target of choice before it automatically explodes. It can destroy robots, activate buttons, and more with its otherwise limitless range!
