Answer: 2035

It says so right at the beginning of the game.

2. Dracula was killed in which year?

Answer: 1999

"Aria" takes place some 36 years after Dracula's death. Dracula was killed by Julius Belmont, a descendant of the Belmont clan. After killing Dracula, Julius hid the legendary Vampire Killer whip inside Castlevania, and somehow lost his memory until the reemergence of Castlevania in 2035.

3. What is the name of the creature that travels very fast?

Answer: Sky Fish

The Chronomage looks very much like the white rabbit in "Alice in Wonderland", and you cannot get past it or kill it unless you have the Galamoth soul. The Medusa Head is a standard enemy in the "Castlevania" series. The Killer Mantle is, well, a flying mantle that draws a dagger and tries to stab you.

The Sky Fish is a very fast streak of light found in the Underground Reservoir. You can only kill it when you have the Chronomage soul.

4. How many souls grant you the ability to transform?

Answer: 4

These are the Giant Bat, Curly, Devil, and Manticore souls. With the exception of the Giant Bat soul, they all have the basic attack patterns (transform, grow big, and rush forward) and is especially useful for getting past the waterfall in the Underground Reservoir. The Giant Bat soul allows you to transform into a bat, and grants you the ability to fly.

5. The __________ soul grants you the ability to walk under water.

Answer: Skula

The Undine soul allows you to walk on water, not under. The elusive Tsuchinoko soul, when equipped, gives you a huge discount at the castle shop. The Kyoma Demon soul grants you temporary invincibility from enemy attacks.

You'll first run into Hammer after you defeat the Great Armor boss. He'll say that he was sent by the army to investigate the castle, but somehow he got lost inside it. Afterwards, he opens up a weapon and item shop at the Castle entrance. His inventory grows after a while. Be sure to check his inventory from time to time for the Soul Eater Ring (it increases your chance of absorbing souls).

Answer: 4

These are the following: Ability souls (gray souls), Subweapon souls (red souls), Attribute souls (yellow souls), and Guardian souls (blue souls).

9. Which three souls need to be equipped in order for you to see the real ending?

Answer: Flame Demon, Giant Bat, Succubus

The Flame Demon soul gives you the ability to teleport and shoot fireballs. The Giant Bat soul gives you the ability to transform into a flying bat (what else?), and the Succubus soul allows you to absorb HP from your enemies whenever you hit them. Notice that these abilities are reminiscent of Dracula's abilities. [One more thing, there is no such thing as an Incubus soul in the game]

10. If you miss the souls of all bosses the first time you fight them, you can still acquire these souls later in the game.

Answer: False

All boss souls, if you miss them the first time, may still be acquired later in the game EXCEPT for the Legion soul. The only way to get the Legion soul is to destroy all four parts of the outer core first before hacking at the inner core. If you fail to do this, say bye-bye to the Legion soul.
