The Thief class is not in the NES version. The 8 other classes are Hero, Soldier (Warrior), Fighter, Wizard (Mage), Pilgrim (Cleric), Merchant (Dealer), Goof-Off (Jester), and Sage. Paladin, Shepherd, and Dragoon classes are in Dragon Warrior VII.

3. Who is the Boss Monster you must beat at the end of the first Bonus Dungeon in the GBC version?

Answer: Divinegon

Divinegon is at the end of the first Bonus Dungeon and grants one of the five following wishes: 1. New Pachisi Track, 2. Revive Ortega, 3. Sexy Book, 4. Rare Medals, 5. [Blank Wish] which is actually the second Bonus Dungeon. There are not any bonus dungeons at all in the NES version.

Green Orb is found in Tedanki. Red Orb is found at Pirate's House. Blue Orb is found in the Navel of the Earth. Yellow Orb is found in the New Town. Purple Orb is found in Jipang (Zipangu). Silver Orb is found at Necrogond Shrine (Gondo Shrine).

Kandar is behind the theft and the kidnapping. You can also meet him later in Alefgard, but you won't have to fight him there.

Once you obtain the Locket of Love (Luv Memory) off of the Phantom Ship (Ghost Ship), you can use it to reach the Jail Shrine near the Promontory of Olivia (Olivia's Cape).
