This can suit Ash very well if the Demon manages to find him early on in the game. It can also be useful in expediting the process of finding a weapon for the rest of his team, as he won't have to 'compete' with them for a weapon.

Answer: Sword

Lord Arthur gets this benefit right from level 1. As the Sword is one of the best melee weapons in the game, this is clearly an appreciable benefit.

Answer: Nothing

Sadly, Annie doesn't get the benefit of beginning the game with anything. This can put her in a bit of trouble if the Demon finds her quickly, especially if her teammates are a distance away.

Answer: Higher Fear threshold

Every character in the game has a Fear threshold, a point in which they'll become visible to the Demon player. For non-Leaders, this threshold is hit at roughly 2/3rds the bar's length. For Leaders, however, the threshold is closer to about 90% of the bar.

This can naturally help them resist the Demon player's attempt to possess them and will make it take longer for them to reveal themselves to the Demon player.

Answer: The aura will buff those in it

Lord Arthur provides a moderate buff to melee, Annie Knowby buffs ranged weapons, while Ash's aura provides less of a buff than them, but the upside is that it's not specific to melee or ranged weapons like the other two, and instead buffs any type of damage output. Ash's also increases the fear resistance of anyone inside his aura, while Annie's aura can also buff balance bar damage.

Answer: I Can Still Help

Simply put, I Can Still Help will cause the Leader's aura to remain in place even if they die. Without this perk, the aura will fade the moment the Leader hits 0 HP and begins to bleed out. This can come in clutch particularly during the end game, when the Demon is trying to destroy the Necronomicon and the Survivors have all gotten close to defend it.

Answer: Echoes of the Aura

Echoes of the Aura can have a maximum of four skill points put into it. The first skill point will cause the aura's effects to linger for 3 seconds when stepping outside the Leader's aura. This is increased to 5, 7 and 10 seconds with each skill point invested into it.

This would be most helpful when the Survivors are fighting the Dark Ones, as everyone attacking them will end up having to move around a lot to dodge the attacks from the Dark Ones as well as whatever the Demon is doing to assist.

Answer: Buff melee damage output of nearby allies

Lord Arthur naturally already buffs melee damage output of those within his aura- activating The Lord's Wrath furthers this buff to truly scary heights briefly. When in conjunction with an allied AOD Ash's Wiseman's Potion, this can let the latter do absurd things such as kill Eligos in just three hits, Evil Ash in six. Lord Arthur himself becomes quite the powerhouse during this time as well, receiving a third buff if he has a Sword, which he begins the game with and has no reason to ever drop.

Answer: Ranged damage output

Because Hunters naturally deal more damage than Warriors, Hit 'Em Where It Hurts can cause more general damage output than The Lord's Wrath, with the drawback being that Annie doesn't receive a de-facto third buff from it like Lord Arthur does from his ability. Hit 'Em Where It Hurts has the nice side effect of essentially announcing itself, as Annie's aura will be highlighted by a pulsating yellow hue when this ability is activated.

Answer: Damage the balance bar

Unfortunately, this won't do much to possessed units at all. However, it will basically annihilate the balance bar on anything else, which can be more helpful than it might seem. A unit with a low or depleted balance bar can have a finisher performed on them, during which the Survivor doing it is invincible. Survivors who are being pressured by the Demon can use finishers and their invincibility as a means to stall until their team can more directly support them.

In a nutshell, that makes this ability incredibly useful.
