The first "Final Fantasy" game origanlly you had 4 people which is different from the usual 3 people that most games today allow. Who the main characters were, was up to you to pick between Thiefs, Knights, Black Mages, White Mages, Monks, and Red Mages. Knights are good attackers with all right defence. Monks were great for attacking, but have little defence. White Mages mainly fight with white magic.

The Black Mages relied on black magic. the Red Mages were very special, they were ok for attacking, had ok defence, and could use both black and white magic! And of course lastly the Thiefs were very speedy.

This made the game a fun challenge. You only get stats randomly after battle, but there are many ways to manipulate this random increase. Example: A way to gain a lot of HP quick is to fight weak monsters. When fighting them weaken the character you want to gain HP (note: I recommend only doing this trick to one person at a time) Than kill all enemies. this should give a +10-20 HP boost.

Answer: Dark Knight & Paladin

Cecil started the game at level 10 as a Dark Knight. Later after a boss fight with Milon followed by a trick one on one fight with the new Paladin Cecil vs. the old Dark Knight Cecil, Cecil stays a Paladin wanting to right his wrongs as a Paladin, but goes down to level 1. :(

Answer: Emerald & Ruby

Belive it or not the Ruby and Emerald Weapons are only in the American version. The translators were running behind their schedule and the game had to be released a month early so they took out most of the Aeris reviving side quest (if you are an expert rpg player and pay very close attention through out the game you'll find bits and pieces of info that hints to the fact Aeris could be revived) and added the two side bosses, Emerald and Ruby.

Rinoa was the only one who wasn't an orphan. The gang finds this out later in the 3rd disk that they were all in Edea's orphanage and only Irvine remembers, because he hasn't had much GF usage. (the GF drained the party of their memories.)

Answer: Eidolons

Esper is the term from "Final Fantasy 6". Aeons is the term in "Final Fantasy 10" and "Final Fantasy 10-2". And of course lastly Eidolons is the term in "Final Fantasy 9". Summon is the turn in the other "Final Fantasy" game titles with summoning.

Auron told Tidus this late in the game. At the end of the game when Yuna had to do the final sending, Tidus and Auron were reunited with Jecht as they head off to the Far Plane. (Note: at one point and time Tidus and Jecht were real, but brought back by the faith as a dream to help Yuna.)

Paine's past in the begining of the game is a complete mystery. As you go through the game tiny bits and peices of Paine's past are exposed. The Crimson Records were all recorded by Paine and later when you have all 9 of them you enter the Den of Woe which wraps up all the details about the faith. Then at the Far Planes when Paine meets back up with her freinds all is explained.

That's right! There is a huge side quest to get Cloud which all depends on if you bought a flower from Aeris in chapter 4. If this is done then after a few side quests you'll aquire Cloud. (Note 1: Aeris is in the game, but you can't get her. Note 2: You MUST have Mustido alive and in your party to get the hidden characters)

Answer: Aeris
