With the longest reach of any melee tool in the game, Tooke is effective in close quarters. If timed correctly, a well placed hit can damage multiple enemies, which gives Tooke some degree of counterplay to an ugly numbers situation.

These grenades are quite helpful and can let Tooke easily claim victory if properly deployed. A tired enemy will be unable to flee or adequately fight back, making them easy prey for Tooke's heavy melee damage. If Tooke has been spotted by the NPC guards and the alarm has been raised, the gas will disorient them and cause them to lose track of him.

When this perk is equipped, Tooke's grenades will heal allies who step inside it's now blue gas. Do be warned, allies cannot remain crouched and must stand up inside the gas cloud, so be wary of when to deploy these grenades.

Tooke is not terrible, but is outperformed at doing all three things listed. For example, Marianne is faster at crouch walking and John extracts the chest slightly faster than he does.

Tooke isn't actually the best at doing anything, short of traits which are exclusive to himself, such as healing. His 'jack of all trades' mantra has been well documented.

Tooke is the still pretty decent at doing all of the incorrect options for the question, trailing John in all three.

Despite not being particularly great at any one thing, Tooke is also likewise not really bad at doing anything. He is not the fastest or strongest, but he is also far stronger than Marianne or Robin and can sneak around more effectively than John. Thus, he truly is a jack of all trades.

Unlike Marianne and Robin, Tooke's attacks are both hard hitting and boast excellent armor penetration. Unlike John, Tooke can be at a distance from the Sheriff, thus making him less suspectible to being caught.

Like everyone else though, Tooke is done for if the slow, tanky Sheriff gets his hands on him. Thus, actually picking a fight with the Sheriff is only a good idea if there are no nearby enemies to get in the way, and if the Tooke player can take the Sheriff by surprise with one free attack before the Sheriff spots him.

When allies are close to Tooke, their crouch movement speed is greatly enhanced. Characters like Marianne who rely on remaining unseen to be effective thereby greatly appreciate this.

This comes at the cost of being slower at taking spawn points however, so pairing a Tooke with this perk with an allied Robin using the Reticent Recon perk, and then telling the Robin player to be in charge of spawn points, would be a good idea.

Answer: Vampiric Bludgeon

Vampiric Bludgeon lets Tooke convert a portion of melee damage dealt into self healing. This would allow him to conserve his ability and healing grenades for use on his allies, which would be great if the player wants to take on an all out Healer role.
