Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. There are three playable characters in this level. Which one originally had the ability to smash Morgul objects?

Answer: Elendil

Elendil is the king of Gondor. Since he was the king, he had a sword called Narsil, which could break Morgul legos.
2. Sauron was defeated when the Ring was cut off his finger. Who did this to him?

Answer: Isildur

Isildur was Elendil's son. When his father died, Isildur picked up his sword, and defeated Sauron. But the Ring survived.
3. Before Sauron starts making people fly, you have to defeat Orcs. After you do a few Morgul towers appear where you use Narsil to destroy them. How many towers were there?

Answer: Three

You have to smash the towers to advance to the next part of the level. When you do, you will then battle Sauron. He will start flinging his Mace around and eventually get it stuck in the ground. When this happens, as Elendil you must smash pieces of Morgul legos off of it.
4. After you defeat Sauron, Elrond tells Isildur to follow him. Where is he leading him?

Answer: Mount Doom

Elrond knows the Ring needs to be destroyed, so he leads Isildur to Mount Doom. But when Elrond leads him into the heart of the volcano, Isildur wants to keep the Ring for himself.
5. While climbing up Mount doom, there is a spot that Orcs break thru. When you try to make your character go inside, they back away from it. Who can go inside it when you do the level in Free Play?

Answer: Frodo

Frodo has the light of Earendil, which can light up areas. Other characters can go in dark spots if they have the luminous stone. Gandalf may also light up these areas using his staff.
6. The other half of this quiz is quotes. "ISILDUR!" who said this?

Answer: Elrond

This is said inside Mount Doom, when Elrond told Isildur to throw the Ring into the volcano. When Isildur said no and turned to leave, Elrond said this.
7. "Victory was near!" Who said this?

Answer: Galadriel

This is said right before Sauron started his rampage. Galadriel added to this that "The power of the Ring could not be undone".
8. "But there where some who resisted." Who said this quote?

Answer: Galadriel

This is said as the armies of Men and Elves were marching into Mordor. Soon the battle would begin, and the strength of Men would fail against the power of the Ring.
9. "No...". Who said this quote?

Answer: Isildur

This is said when Elrond tells him to "Cast it into the fire" he responds by saying this quote. If he had done what Elrond said there would be no "Lord of the Rings" and the movie would have ended there.
10. "And some things that should not have been forgotten were lost." Who says this?

Answer: Galadriel

This is said when Isildur is shot by the arrows and falls into the river. The Ring slips off his hand and sinks to the bottom where it stayed for two and a half thousand years.
