Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the name of the opening level of the game, where you start off with a silenced PP7 gun and your objective is to bungee jump from a platform?

Answer: Dam

The setting of this level is the Byelomorye Dam in the USSR. Bond has to go through a path in a mountainous area of Russia, where he must shoot through many guards in order to access the dam. Once he gets to the dam entry, he must shoot a lock off a gate to enter the platform. It is then that he must bungee off the damn to the chemical warfare facility at the base of the dam.

Weapons available in this level include: Silenced PP7, KF7 Soviet, Sniper Rifle, and DD44 Dostovei.
2. Once you make the bungee jump, you end up in level 2, known as Facility. Which room will you NOT find in this level?

Answer: Control Room

The level starts in the air ducts of the facility's bathroom. From there, Bond has to make his way to the laboratory area; to do this, Bond has to get access to the console in the security station. Bond then needs to get to the bottling room where he fellow MI6 agent 006 is waiting for him. Bond then must destroy the tanks before exiting.

Weapons in this level include: KF7 Soviet, hand grenade, remote mines, and D5K Deutsche.
3. After you've made it through Facility, you end up at a service runway behind the Russian Chemical Warfare Facility where you have a chance to escape via helicopter. The trouble is, there are dozens of armed guards and drone guns that impede your progress toward the helicopter. What useful accessory do you have in this level that is also available in the level "Streets"?

Answer: armed tank

Runway is the third level in the game, and it is one of two levels where Bond has access to a tank to drive -- Streets being the other one. The tank is also armed with tank shells which can be used to destroy the drones as well as any guards who get in the way. At the end of the runway, Bond gets into a helicopter where he is able to fly away and complete the mission.

Weapons in this level include: Klobb, KF7 Soviet, Silenced PP7, hand grenade, and timed mines.
4. The game has two pairs of levels that have the same name, and while similar in layout, are different in objectives. Which two levels am I describing?

Answer: Bunker and Surface

Both Surface levels have the same setting, and features Bond sneaking into the Satellite Control Bunker, which is the setting of both Bunker levels. There are some differences, however; in the first Surface, it is light out and a lot more visible than the second Surface. The objectives are different as well. To complete Surface 1, you have to enter a ventilation tower in order to access the bunker, thereby completing the mission, whereas in Surface 2, you have to walk up to the bunker and enter through the door, voluntarily giving yourself up to the guards.

Bunker 1 follows Surface 1 and Bunker 2 follows Surface 2. You start out in the ventilation chamber in the first bunker, and you start out in a jail cell in the second bunker. Both levels final objective is to escape from the bunker.

A rocket launcher is available to use in the first Surface level.
5. Frigate is a level where you board a ship that is carrying the Pirate stealth helicopter. One of your objectives is to put a tracker bug on the helicopter. In order to get to this helicopter, you have to shoot many guards onboard. Most of the guards are using a particular gun that hasn't been seen yet from the earlier levels. Which gun is this?

Answer: Phantom

The Phantom is a submachine gun exclusive to the level Frigate. It is my gun of choice when I play the mission. When playing on 00 Agent mode, the objectives are to rescue hostages aboard the ship, disarm a bridge bomb as well as a bomb in the engine room. Lastly, you have to put the tracking bug on the helicopter.
6. Archives is one of my favorite levels to play. You start in an interrogation room with two men. There is an empty gun and clip on the table and if you are fast enough you can load the gun and kill the two interrogators. You then must locate someone and escape the building with her. Who is it you have to find and rescue?

Answer: Natalya

Archives, in addition to being a solo mission on the game, is also a multiplayer level that you can play with 1-3 friends. The objectives in the solo portion of the game on 00 agent mode are to escape from the interrogation room, recover a helicopter black box, and find Natalya and escape with her.

Weapons in this level include: DD44 Dostovei, KF7 Soviet, Klobb, and PP7 Special Issue.
7. Train is a unique level, as you are on board a train that is mobile. Once again, you have to rescue the same woman from question 6. At the end of the mission, in order to escape, you must use a handy device that allows you to cut through a locked grate on the floor of one of the train cars. What is this device, which only appears in this level?

Answer: watch laser

In this level, you start out at the back of a train and have to move toward the front, where once again you have to rescue Natalya, who is being held hostage by General Ourumov, Xenia Onatopp, and Alec Trevelyan. In order to reach her, you have to go through many railroad cars and past many guards. In 00 Agent mode, you have to destroy the brake units in order to stop the train, locate Janus' secret base, crack Boris' code, and escape the train. The watch laser, which is a valuable tool in order to escape, is a laser that Bond has installed in his watch. It is only found on this level.

Other notable weapons in this level include: RC-P90 (my favorite), ZMG (9mm), and D5K Deutsche.
8. One of the scariest levels in the game in my opinion is Jungle. It is a bit hazy and there are many hidden drone guns that you need to destroy. As you continue on through the jungle, you stumble upon a rope bridge, and as you begin to cross, daunting music begins to play and a ferocious woman appears and challenges you to a battle to the death. Who is this woman that you must dispatch?

Answer: Xenia Onatopp

I always get anxious when I play this mission. It's hard to see anything, and you are out in the open jungle after Bond's plane gets shot down. The final goal in this mission is to get to the control center in Janus' base, and to do it, you have to travel on foot. Before you can reach the base, you have to go one on one with Xenia, who has a lot of body armor and is difficult to defeat -- I suggest using the RC-P90 gun to use against her.

Other weapons used in this level include: US AR33 Assault Rifle, Cougar Magnum, Grenade Launcher, and remote mines.
9. Not counting bonus levels, Cradle completes the game. What is the name of the man you have to defeat in order to complete the mission?

Answer: Alec Trevelyan

Alec Trevelyan, formerly known as 006, Bond's former colleague and friend, turned against Bond and the British government, and Bond has been trying to track him down. He finally gets his chance to thwart him in this level, as the two have a showdown. Trevelyan is very hard to defeat, as you have to hit him with dozens of bullets before he succumbs. Cradle is the 18th and final main level in
"Goldeneye", and it is much more difficult to win than in the early levels.

Weapons in this level include: ZMG (9mm), US AR33 Assault Rifle, hand grenades, and PP7 Special Issue.
10. I mentioned "bonus levels" in the previous question. After you complete every challenge in 00 Agent mode, there are two additional levels you can play. Unrelated to the theme of "Goldeneye", these levels are Egyptian, which is based on scenes from the movie "The Spy Who Loved Me", and Aztec, which is based on "Moonraker". What are the names of the two villains you have to defeat in each of these respective levels?

Answer: Baron Samedi and Jaws

These two missions are a lot of fun, but very difficult. They have nothing to do with "Goldeneye", other than being part of the Bond franchise of movies. In the level Aztec, you must defeat Jaws, a character from "Moonraker"; you can also use the Moonraker Laser in this level. Once you are able to complete this mission on 00 level, Egyptian is the last bonus level, and you have to defeat Baron Samedi, who appeared as a villain in "Live and Let Die." Egyptian is also a multiplayer level. You can find and use the golden gun in this level.
