"The timeless adventures of Mickey Mouse" fits this game perfectly. By a steamboat, I am referring to one of Mickey's first animated cartoons, "Steamboat Willie".

2. Is there a level in the game called "Mickey's Christmas Carol"?

Answer: No

It would be interesting if "Mickey's Christmas Carol" was a level of this game. As you probably know, in the original cartoon, Mickey takes on the role of Bob Cratchit.

3. Which level is partly in black and white?

Answer: Steamboat Willie

"Steamboat Willie" was the first cartoon to feature synchronized sound. Walt Disney himself provided the voice of Mickey. "Steamboat Willie" was released in 1928. The first half of the level is black and white. The Warf, the second half of the level, starts out in black and white. It changes to color when Mickey jumps on the big cat.

The number of fingers on Mickey's hand plays an important part in this game. You will see a Mickey hand at the top of the screen with four fingers. Whenever Mickey takes a hit from an enemy, the hand loses a finger. When all the fingers are gone, Mickey loses a life.

The marbles help Mickey defeat enemies from a longer distance. They are especially helpful in "The Prince and the Pauper", where there are a lot of enemies.

The only real bosses in "Mickey Mania" are the mad doctor and Baron Pete. I always found Pete one of the most difficult bosses to defeat. Pete is found at the end of "The Prince and the Pauper".

In the cartoon "The Moose Hunters", Mickey goes hunting with Donald and Goofy. However, in the game, he only takes Pluto with him. Pluto will alert Mickey right before the moose charges.

9. Can Mickey swim?

Answer: No

Mickey cannot swim at all. One good example of this is in the dungeon of "The Prince and the Pauper". As water starts pouring into the dungeon, Mickey must ride a toy duck to the top. If he falls off the duck and doesn't get back on quickly enough, he will drown.

Minnie is not used at all in this game, but in the Super NES game "The Great Circus Mystery" a player can choose to be either Mickey or Minnie. In the two player game of "The Great Circus Mystery" both characters are in play.
