The castle guard tells Mickey about the unusual earthquakes that Beanwick has been having. Mickey's quest is to find out what is causing the earthquakes.

Horace Horsecollar is the librarian, and he needs Mickey's help because his eyesight is bad. The challenge in the library varies depending on the difficulty setting. On the "easy" and "medium" settings, Mickey has to jump from book to book in alphabetical order. On the "challenging" setting, Mickey has to jump across the books to spell a word. Horace Horsecollar will give you a spell book to take to Donald when you are finished.

Goofy's blacksmith shop is inside a giant shoe. When Mickey plays Goofy's challenge, you have to guess what tools Goofy has in his tool box and in what order. The game is more challenging depending on the difficult setting. When you finish, Goofy will give Mickey a hammer to take to Huey, Dewey, and Louie.

When Mickey has finished all the challenges, he will have five items. Each of these items belongs to a different character. After you have exchanged an item, the character will give you a magic bean. Mickey thinks the beans are worthless, so he throws them in the wishing well. The beanstalk grows out of the well.

You will find Donald in the castle tower. He is dressed as a wizard and practicing magic. When Mickey walks in, Donald accidentally shrinks him, and Mickey gets stuck on a chess board. To get big again, Mickey has to walk around the chess board and find the bottles of magic powder, then push them through the magic mirror. Once you have enough bottles, Donald will make Mickey normal again and give him a pair of glasses.

When he asks you if you woke him up, you have to say yes. Then the game is finished, and Mickey wakes up from his dream.
