Answer: Brian

You are Brian who lives in a monastery. You are sent by the Grand Abbot to find your dad who mysteriously disappeared on his quest for a book.

2. Who is the first boss?

Answer: Solvaring

Solvaring, the King of Beasts, is the thief hiding in the Connor Fortress. He is tough but if you have a Level 3 Wind Cutter he should be absolutely no problem.

3. How many spells does Brian have at the beginning?

Answer: Four

The spells are Fire, Wind, Rock and Water. These can be upgraded many levels. The higher the fire level, the more damage and the more fireballs. The higher the wind level, the more damage and the more wind cutters. The higher the rock level, the more damage and the bigger the rock. The higher the water level, the more damage and the bigger the fountain.

4. You can run from a battle.

Answer: True

Running to the outer ring and clicking A when the option comes up, lets you run. It isn't reccomended because while your back is turned, the enemy will pelt you with spells.

5. You level up your magic by finding _____.

Answer: Spirits

Spirits are the little white wisps of smokey stuff that pop up all over the map. Once you select one, you can choose which ability to level up.

6. Where do you first encounter Wyverns?

Answer: Cull Hazard

The very tough, fire spewing Wyverns are in the caves of Cull Hazard. They are extremely difficult to defeat and I would suggest running.

"Quest" was a starting game for the N64. The N64 didn't have many RPG's besides "Zelda" and "Ogre Battle."

Guns weren't even invented in this time period. There are no swords or maces (unfortunately) just the one, non-upgradable staff that really isn't good for melee damage.

"Quest 64" was released in Japan, about a few months after the North American version, I guess that's why the game has so many dead pixels in the North American version because it was rushed to be released quickly.

There are so many heros in video games without last names including: Chrono, Link, Mario, Vyse, etc. Orkney is a place where Queen Morgan le Fay ruled and Pengaligon is the last name of a character in the "Keeper of the Keys" series.
