The game opens on July 24, 1998 in Raccoon City, where there have been numerous murders on the outskirts of the town. People have been attacked in their homes by a group of flesh eaters. Bravo Team were sent in to investigate, but when all contact was lost Alpha Team was sent in to find Bravo Team and continue the investigation.

Answer: Joseph Frost

Alpha Team manages to locate the Bravo Team helicopter but it is destroyed. There is no sign of any survivors; all that is found is a severed hand. Suddenly Alpha Team is attacked by vicious dogs which manage to kill Joseph Frost. The rest of the team flees to the Spencer Mansion, which is believed to be abandoned.

Once the team is in the mansion they soon hear a gunshot. They hurry to investigate and they discover that they are too late as Sullivan has been killed by a zombie. If you search his corpse, you can find a video tape which will reveal his horrific death.

Neptune is a Shark B.O.W. It reacted much better to the T-Virus than its counterparts. As such it has grown much larger and stronger. You need to be careful as Neptune can kill you in one bite. The only way to defeat Neptune is to electrocute it with a electric panel located in its tank.

Yawn is a snake B.O.W. with deadly venomous fangs. It gets its name from the fact that is seems to be yawning before biting its prey. If you are attacked and poisoned you must cure yourself- serum can be found it the drug room. Yawn can be found in the Attic and the Library.

These deadly wasps were created when a nest within the mansion's rear guardhouse became infected with the T-Virus. These wasps are much larger than your average wasp, they are vicious and can produce deadly toxins. The wasps can be destroyed when their nest is destroyed.

Chris Redfield says this at the beginning of the intro movie, where you can see the Alpha Team being chased by zombie dogs (AKA Cerberus). Unfortunately not all of the team managed to make it to the mansion as Joseph Frost was killed by the dogs.

Rebecca Chambers is Bravo team's medic; Chris Redfield can find her when she is attending to Richard Aiken, a wounded Bravo team member or Chris, when he first enters the Mansion's infirmary. Rebecca helps Chris in some portions of his scenario by mixing chemicals or playing the piano. Chris helps her as well when she is in trouble. You may choose not to aid her but this will result in her death.

Hunters appear after the player returns to the mansion from the residence building; Hunters are far more dangerous than zombies because they are tremendously fast, strong and aggressive, making them one of the most dangerous enemies in the entire game.

The T-002 Tyrant is the ultimate Bio-Organic Weapon of the Umbrella Corporation. The Tyrant is released by Albert Wesker in an attempt to kill the remaining S.T.A.R.S members, however the Tyrant turned against him. The Tyrant is eventually destroyed with the help of Brad Vickers.
