If Zell beat Selphie and Quistis, the guards would have checked them for bruises and then Zell would have to punch the guards. A guard would have to slash Selphie and Quistis, not to mention that their clothes would be torn from the damage dealt from the sword.

There is an anti-magic barrier that would absorb any magic.

In the ending sequence, Selphie gets angry at Irvine. You see Selphie wear Irvine's hat and she is happy. Selphie is happy because she has always wanted to wear Irvine's hat and she finally gets the chance.

In the Fake President's train car, Selphie gets scared because the Fake President shouts at Rinoa. In the ending sequence, Selphie and Quistis are watching Zell eat hot dogs. Zell chokes on a hot dog and because there is no water in his cup, Quistis and Selphie help him by patting his back. Both girls run when Zell gets up from his seat.
