Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. First, which of the following isn't a separate world in "Tales of Symphonia"?

Answer: Spira

Derris-Kharlan is the mana meteor that orbits Sylvarant/Tethe'alla. Vinhelm is the name of Mithos' Castle and location of where you battle him the last time. Niflheim is known in the Monster List as the Forbidden Anemesis, but is properly called Niflheim. Spira is the name of the world in "Final Fantasy X".
2. Which of the following enemies can only be battled in Niflheim/Forbidden Anemesis?

Answer: Arch Demon

The Dark Dragon is a boss in Vinhelm, Dark Spears can be battled in Vinhelm and Derris-Kharlan, and Doom Guards and Arch Demons can be battled in the Forbidden Anemesis. Doom Guards can also be fought in Derris-Kharlan.
3. What key item do you use to create Soulfire and burn the Forbidden Anemesis with?

Answer: Sacred Stone

You can not access the Forbidden Anemesis until you have the Sacred Stone from completing the final sidequest in Vinhelm and you have talked to the elf in Heimdall after its destruction. The Sacred Stone can not be acquired until you have the Future Stone and Past Stone also in your inventory.
4. How many levels are there in the Forbidden Anemesis?

Answer: Eighteen

If you do not include the three stratum levels in the Forbidden Anemesis, then it would seem there were only fifteen levels, but between each group of five floors is a break level which changes to the next stratum of five levels. On two of these break levels are the Hell Knight and Living Armor.
5. What does the Derris Emblem guard?

Answer: Vinhelm/Mithos Castle

Before you rescue someone from Mithos in Derris-Kharlan, the rest of your party is captured in the Derris Emblem trap. You must then release the rest of your party from the traps in Welgaia and battle The Fugitive, The Judged, and The Neglected. You can then continue on to Vinhelm/Mithos Castle.
6. In Welgaia, six of your party members are captured by the Derris-Emblem and tortured by someone they know. If you chose Kratos, who tortures him in Welgaia?

Answer: Lloyd

Strangely, Lloyd haunts Kratos, and is that weird spider at the bottom. Kratos later tells the party that those who they saw were ideas and fears from themselves.
7. Who says "I feed off the fear and selfishness that lives in the hearts of men. Will you offer your selfishness to me?"

Answer: The Fugitive

"...Light fled into darkness and you are now the new light. The coward who fled into darkness has lost his power." The Fugitive, The Judged, and The Neglected all talk in their cryptic way about a fugitive, someone judged, and someone neglected. Fear and selfishness is what drove Sheena, Zelos, and Kratos, causing them to become fugitives.
8. How many different floor colors are there in the Forbidden Anemesis?

Answer: Three

The colors are red, blue, and green. Red means you must kill all the enemies to continue. Blue has strange devices that you must hit with the Sorcerer's Ring to connect the platforms. Green means you don't have to kill any enemies and the platforms are already connected.
9. In the Forbidden Anemesis, how much Soulfire does the Sorcerer's Ring use each time you fire it?

Answer: Ten

Considering that if you lose all your Soulfire you die, you continually lose Soulfire while you are moving (unless a floor effect says otherwise), if you take too long in a battle, you lose Soulfire, you start the level with only 100 Soulfire, and you need at least 800 or so to battle the Living Armor, its not really a good idea to be firing the Sorcerer's Ring everywhere.

However, Soulfire torches increase your Soulfire by 40 when you light them with the Sorcerer's Ring and some areas can not be reached without the Sorcerer's Ring.
10. How much life do the Living Armor and the Hell Knight have combined on Mania Mode?

Answer: 416,000

The Living Armor normally has 120,000, the Hell Knight normally has 88,000. Add that together and you get 208,000. But Mania Mode doubles the Health Points of every enemy. So that makes the final total 416,000.
