The Reunion: "Final Fantasy VII Remake" Quiz

Twenty minutes is plenty of time as it turns out, as the timer doesn't start until after the fight with the Guard Scorpion. Barret will also mock you if you choose the other option, thirty minutes, so there's really no pleasing him at this point!

Answer: Train Graveyard

After Aerith is taken by Eligor and tormented with visions from her past, Cloud and Tifa rescue her from its clutches and the three take on this sinister, chariot riding menace. One of Aerith's weapons, the Bladed Staff, can be stolen from it during the fight.

Answer: Actress

Jessie got her big break when she was cast as the princess at the Gold Saucer amusement park. Her dreams were sadly curtailed when her father became ill with Mako poisoning after an accident at one of Shinra's reactors. This encouraged her to join Avalanche's cause and fight for the planet.

Answer: Heidegger

In a change from the original story, Shinra not only plan to execute the team but also to frame them as spies so that they have a reason to go to war with Wutai. As the 'Head of Public Safety', Heidegger is the one to front this operation though President Shinra also honours the group with an appearance (via hologram albeit).

Answer: Tonberry

All of these enemies, which appear in multiple Final Fantasy entries, can be fought in the "Final Fantasy VII Remake" at certain locations. It's the cute and deadly Tonberry, however, that will get "Final Fantasy" buffs sweating when they appear. They may look harmless but they can deal instant death with their Chef's Knife and in hard mode the Hell House will summon them in groups. If they appear, take them out as quickly as you can.

Answer: The Price of Thievery

The Price of Thievery is a side quest in Chapter 9: The Town that Never Sleeps that you can complete for Madam M. The rest of the above can be completed with Aerith in the Sector 5 Slums.

Answer: JENOVA Dreamweaver

The other three answers are forms of JENOVA that are faced in the original game, Dreamweaver is specific to the remake. This form appears to wield powers which allow her to alter the perception of her surroundings, turning the battleground into a hellish landscape. As Red XIII says though, "It's an illusion. Stay calm".

Answer: Wedge

Wedge takes the top spot having scored 301 with only eight darts. Of course, Cloud can beat Wedge's score if you throw well enough but you need 301 with seven darts or less - no easy feat.

Answer: Nine

It's possible to get three different dresses each for Cloud, Tifa and Aerith. Appropriately, you'll get the 'Dressed to the Nines' trophy for accomplishing this. This is one of the lengthiest trophies to obtain, requiring careful decision making in multiple play-throughs of several chapters.

Answer: Chocobo and Moogle

The materia is located behind a ventilator fan, off the main path. It is optional and missable, as you have to complete a timed battle to get to it. Ifrit is given to you by Jessie. Shiva and Fat Chocobo can be obtained by defeating them in Chadley's battle simulator.

Answer: Whispers

Ethereal manifestations of destiny, the Whispers are one of the most controversial aspects of the remake. Not always hostile, they actually save Aerith and Barret from fatal situations. But they instinctively set upon those trying to alter the course of fate which leads Avalanche to confront them on several occasions.

Answer: Andrea Rhodea

Who knew the remake would include a dance rhythm minigame? If you do well enough, Andrea will give you his earrings as a gift. Aerith's reactions after each phase of the dance will also depend on your performance. If you're doing great, she'll clap and cheer, if you're fudging it, she'll look awkward and uncomfortable.

Answer: Twin Stinger

Counterstance allows you to block and counter physical attacks, causing massive damage, which makes it one of the most useful abilities in the game. Whilst using the ability, Cloud takes an 80% damage reduction upon being attacked and then retaliates with a powerful strike.

Answer: Cloud

To give the others time to escape, Cloud stays behind to fight Rufus on the roof. Although you can't directly control him, Red XIII joins Barret and Aerith in their battle against The Arsenal, which is one of the stronger bosses in the game.

Answer: Seven

"Seven seconds till the end. Time enough for you, perhaps. But what will you do with it?" Fans have been hotly debating what Sephiroth might mean by this. Many have argued that this is the number of seconds it takes Sephiroth to descend upon Aerith in her iconic death scene, in the original "Final Fantasy VII". Perhaps Cloud will be forced to make some sort of choice this time. Pure conjecture of course, we'll have to wait and see.
