Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of these is a feature that is on all three consoles' version of the game?

Answer: 2-player support

Okay, well this is the only difference between versions. The obvious one was the GBA connectivity, because that's on GCN. The online support is on the PS2 version, and the HDTV support is exclusively on Xbox. You can play a 2-player game on any of the versions.
2. How many choices of fences (not including walls) are there to choose from the Build menu?

Answer: 3

There are three choices of fences, that range in price from $10-$100 for each square length of fence. There is only one choice in walls, which is the dry wall.
3. Assuming you do not create any families of your own, how many families are already moved in houses on Free Street (Free Mode)?

Answer: 2

The two families have four members, and thier last names are Tutti and Frutti. Free Mode only contains 3 files, so the answer could not be 4.
4. How many different types of televisions are there (assuming you've unlocked all of them)?

Answer: 4

There's a regular black and white television, for $85. Then there's a $500 television. This is rather expensive, considering how small it is. There's also a plasma TV that's $3500. The biggest TV consists of nine screens in one! This dream television set costs nearly $10000.
5. How much does an empty lot cost to buy in Free Mode?

Answer: 3500 simoleons

Just as in every other version of The Sims, empty lots start at only $3500. Compared to real life, that is rather inexpensive.
6. The "Gene Genie Incubator", also seen in the back room of Goth Manor, raises what skill?

Answer: Logic

This weird device creates a man-eating...I mean trash-eating plant. I can't imagine this boosting anyone's Charisma!
7. Which one of these four items costs a different price than the other three?

Answer: Mr. Regular Joe Coffee

"Mr. Regular Joe Coffee" costs 85 simoleons. The rest cost 100 simoleons each.
8. Now for questions on the thirteen 'Bust Out' levels. How many goals are there at "Mom's House"?

Answer: 5

Mom's House can be 100% completed in almost no time. That's saying something, it may take you months to achieve other levels' goals!
9. At "Dudley's Trailer", what is Dudley's last name?

Answer: Landgrabb

The other three last names were made up. Dudley is the son of this game's 'villain' back from the last console version. Dudley's back, too, but he's the same lazy person he was before. The good thing is that you can help him out of his slump so he can get some of his stuff back!
10. In "Mimi's Place", what do you have to repair in order to unlock the repairmen as a phone service?

Answer: espresso machine

This is a pretty simple task to unlock a very helpful service. You just need to be persistent. Of course, this service is only good for those who aren't very 'mechanical'.
11. How many new members do you have to sign up at "Toanne's Gym" in order to satisfy Max and Toanne's new membership needs?

Answer: 4

This takes a while to complete because you have to be friends with a person if you even want a chance of them accepting your offer of joining the gym. Only four members is not realistsic, but the developers probably did not want to overwhelm players.
12. At "Goth Manor", what place do you have to visit in order to retrieve the Goth's stolen fern?

Answer: Dudley's Trailer

Dudley, for some reason, has their fern. He claims he was borrowing it, but it's suspicious because it is placed in the back of his yard.
13. What is the name of the general's wife at "The Octagon"?

Answer: Maxine

Maxine is more active than her husband, and gets out of bed faster than him. Her work hours are late, though.
14. At "Studio 8", how many doors (including door frames) are originally there?

Answer: 13

Surprisingly, there are 13 doors to this house, which is more of an art museum than a house. Once you look at it again, you'll realize that all the doors have a purpose.
15. What style of decorations is "Casa Calinete" filled with?

Answer: heart

I don't think there is any place that is jungle-themed. The money thmes is used at "Malcolm's Mansion" and the entertainment theme is kind of used "Tinsel Bluffs", where the dwellers are movie stars.
16. When you first move in to "Pixel Acres", which if these items does Malcolm NOT steal?

Answer: Sili-Camp Tent

Three of those tents will remain; and surprisingly, in this level, he takes three items instead of only two items like other levels. Malcolm msut really hate these type of people.
17. At "Tinsel Bluffs", what is the name of the TV that gets taken by Malcolm?

Answer: Information Overlord by Bu Butubu

This is probably the hardest question, since you had to have unlocked this television to know the name. The name is actually Japanese, although it couldn't be a real name because of the awkward spelling.
18. At "Club Rubb", which one of these four general items was taken by Malcolm upon moving in?

Answer: a dance floor

The two items that were taken by Malcolm were the "Bounce My Booty Dance Floor" and the "Slush Rush Counter". In order to raise the fun level for parties, you may want to re-purchase these items, if you can.
19. How many 'unlockables' are available at "Shiny Things Labs"?

Answer: 10

The two careers you need to pursue, in order to be able to move into Shiny Things Labs are Mad Scientist and Paramilitary. Paramilitary doesn't seem tied to science, but no other career path seemed to fit.
20. At "Malcom's Mansion", which becomes your own house, what is the name of the limousine that you unlock when you upgrade your house value enough?

Answer: Limo Ultimo

The Limo Ultimo is the only vehicle that you don't drive. Instead, you sit in the back inside a small hot tub. I guess that could be considered traveling in style!
