Answer: The Bloody Baron

The Baron, a former Temerian soldier, controls the area known as Crow's Perch in Velen when Geralt meets him. The Nilfgaardian army has taken much of the world at this point, and the Baron uses the chaos to seize the fortress. His given name is Phillip Strenger, and he sends Geralt after his runaway wife and adult daughter. He spins a tale of the mutual destruction he and his wife made of their marriage, and the act of violence that led to her departure. Geralt does find both his wife and daughter, and he obtains more information on Ciri. When a tale of someone's experience with Ciri is revealed, the player gets to play as Ciri herself in that "memory". The Bloody Baron ends up hanging himself at Crow's Perch.

Tomasz Dedek voiced the role of The Bloody Baron. He is a Polish actor with many TV credits to his name.

2. The ashen haired child of Elder blood, whom Geralt is searching for through much of the game.

Answer: Ciri

Affectionately called Ciri by many of the characters in the game, Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon is the former ward of Geralt. She has Elder blood, and her father sends Geralt out in search of her. The Wild Hunt is pursuing her in order to use her teleportation powers for their own gain. After asking many people about Ciri, Geralt locates her hiding out in The Isle of Mists. She is cold and unconscious, and much like the fairy tale of "Snow White", the dwarfs looking out for her cannot wake her.

Polish actress Anna Cieslak voices Ciri.

3. The raven-haired Sorceress whose fate is linked with Geralt's for more than twenty years.

Answer: Yennefer

Though I haven't played the first two "Witcher" games, there is much talk between Geralt and Yennefer about their long and stormy love affair. Apparently, Geralt had a djinn link their lives together at some point in the past, and Yennefer was ready to undo that, and see if they were meant to be. At this point in the game, I was tired of Yennefer's personality, and made Geralt deny he feels anything for her after they break the link. She shows shock, and admits she still feels strongly for him. There are many, many, choices you can have Geralt make that affects the outcome of the story.

Beata Jewiarz was the voice of Yennefer of Vengerberg.

4. Initially known as Uma, or ugliest man alive, this character turned out to be an elven sage.

Answer: Avallac'h

He is living in Velen, at Crow's Perch, when Geralt first encounters him in the game. He is short, disfigured, and seems really sweet. Geralt realizes he has been cursed at some point, and may even be Ciri. So, Geralt takes him to Kaer Morhen, and the cursed is lifted. He reveals his true identity and that Ciri is in The Isle of Mists.

Szymon Kusmider is the voice of Avallac'h.

5. Ciri's father, and the Emperor of Nilfgaard.

Answer: Emhyr Var Emreis

Emhyr, ruler of most of the world at this point, allies with Yennefer and Geralt in this game. After he finds out that his daughter Ciri is being hunted, he decides that Geralt would be the best person to track her. Geralt accepts this task, but has doubts that Ciri has any interest in returning to her father. Emhyr is voiced by Piotr Grabowski, who is another Polish actor with many TV credits in his resume.

6. This red haired Sorceress had a romantic past with Geralt, a friendship with Yennefer, and affection for Ciri.

Answer: Triss

Listening to dialogue between Triss and Geralt, I discovered Geralt lost his memory in the past, probably in one of the previous games. This time of lost memories led to a relationship with Triss, who was very close friends with Yennefer. In this game, I allowed Geralt to rekindle that romance and tell Triss he loved her (as I said, I wasn't fond of Yennefer). When the gang united at Kaer Morhen, Yennefer flipped out when she learned of the love affair anew. She knew he'd been with Triss during his memory loss, and was not happy to hear they were together again. The tumultuous situation was set aside for the healing of Uma (Avallac'h) and the battle against the Wild Hunt.

Witchers and Sorceresses are mutants and infertile. Agnieszka Kunikowska voiced Triss Merigold in three "Witcher" games.

7. Geralt starts the game's journey with this mentor, also the oldest member of the Wolf School.

Answer: Vesemir

He and Vesemir leave Kaer Morhen and head to White Orchard in the opening missions of the game. They face a Griffin together while in White Orchard before Geralt goes off to locate Yennefer, who is working with Ciri's father. Vesemir is respected among the other Witchers of Wolf School and Kaer Morhen, like Geralt, Eskel, and Lambert. Vesemir does not survive the battle at Kaer Morhen against the Wild Hunt, but everyone else fighting there does live. He is given a funeral pyre and honored at the old witcher's keep of Kaer Morhen.

William Roberts, the man who voices Vesemir, has also voiced characters in many other video games, including the first "Witcher".

8. This is Geralt's mount, whose extended saddle bags make life much easier during game play.

Answer: Roach

Roach is the horse Geralt can whistle for anywhere, at anytime, and it will appear. Geralt gets "burdened" easily until he comes across special saddle bags to add to his horse, which gives the Witcher much more leeway to pick up items before deciding how to use them. I believe he starts off with a 60 max before being burdened, and then it extends up to 170 (as far as I have seen, it could be more). Armor and swords provide most of his physical burden, as quest and alchemy items did not seem to be any problem at all. I carried hundreds of those without issue. Roach himself is an irritating mount, and I barely rode him at all.

It was easier to Fast Travel, run everywhere, fight many enemies, and encounter many people.

9. This ladies man poet/musician was captured, needed rescue, and had a habit of spinning tall tales.

Answer: Dandelion

Once in Novigrad, Geralt discovers his old pal Dandelion has been captured. A long aggravating series of missions occurs in order for Geralt to find him. Dandelion makes promises to many ladies, tells everyone that he saves Geralt a lot, and seems to me to be a non-hostile form of narcissist. Novigrad is known as the Free City, though magical folk are being burned in public. Triss needs Geralt's help to get her friends out of town, several ladies ask for help locating Dandelion, and Geralt deals with an old "frenemy" named Dijkstra. Dandelion is saved, and helps Geralt on his quest to find Ciri.

10. He is the Witcher with long white hair, many ladies, a long scar on the left side of his face, and can cast spells.

Answer: Geralt of Rivia

Geralt is voiced by Doug Cockle, who did the voice is the first two English speaking versions of the game as well. When the game begins Geralt is dreaming of the past, a time spent with Yennefer and Ciri in Kaer Morhen, a witcher stronghold. He then begins a search for Yennefer, finds her quickly, which leads to a very long search for Ciri. Ciri and Geralt look a lot alike, ashen haired with scars on their faces. At times, Geralt's dialogue sounds bored and resigned, despite that he knows much adventure and the love of several ladies on his journey.

Geralt is also called the White Wolf during his journey. Vesemir is also a Witcher, but does not have long white hair and a scar over his left eye/cheek.
