Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What item is not used for romancing a Horstachio?

Answer: 4 birds of paradise flowers

The Toffee Apple, carrots and the Horstachio house are all needed to romance this pinata, but the bird of paradise flowers are not. However, if you are looking to romance a Chippopotamus, this is the way to go!
2. Which pinata, if tamed, is able to stop fights, but when sour, starts them?

Answer: Sour Bonboon

While all may be sours, they all have different deeds to do to mess up your
garden. The sour Mallowolf, which first comes to your garden at level 32, will scare away visitors, like your helpers, or the less leveled pinata, but when
tamed, will help scare away Ruffians. The Sherbat, which first visits at level
10, will drain your pinata's energy, but when tamed, will distract Dastardos, giving Doctor Patchigo another minute or so to heal the sick pinata.
The Shellybean, which first comes to your garden at level 5, will eat the seeds in your garden, decreasing the flower/tree population in your garden. When tamed though, the Sour Shellybean will eat the "bad" weed seeds.
3. What is a Ruffian?

Answer: A threat to your garden, which will mess up your hard work

A helper, which will become available to you as you advance in your garden, is a help to you, but will not scare away Dastardos. Helpers are scared of Dastardos, so they are next to useless when he is in your garden. There is no such thing as a pinata to stop sour pinata. You will have to tame the Sours by yourself using the resident requirements.

The begger Ivor, is no ruffian either, however, he is a pest. Once given one-thousand chocolate coins (the currency in this game), he will open up a discount shop and sell you valuable items, like the "Dastardos Scarer" and the "Captain's Cutlass".
4. You can make a Pretztail into a Mallowolf by feeding it a Doenut.

Answer: False

This true or false segment was given to me by Leafos in the Journal (Leafos' Log). This question is false, because a Pretztail can not eat a Doenut, nor can it evolve at all, unless you change its colors, which is something totally different. This is called a Variant.
5. A __ can be given to the Fudgehog to make it a green variant.

Answer: Poison Ivy Flower

The type of plant I was reffering to was the Poison Ivy Flower. This type of plant is given the title "bad seed" because it is dangerous to your pinatas, both visiting and resident. This plant is dangerous because it is able to make the pinata sick. The head of this plant sells for 10 chocolate coins, and will multiply the number of this type of plant by dropping seed from the plant to your garden soil.

The seeds will eventually plant themselves, unless you get rid of them by smacking them with your shovel.

The chili plant was not right, because this is a red variant of the fudgehog. The bluebell seed was not correct, because this is a blue variant of the fudgehog. A thistle is not a varient, but it is used to help attract and make a resident of the fudgehog.
6. A __ is the first pinata you see in the game.

Answer: Whirlm

I did this question in the order these pinata species appear by level. You will first see the Whirlm when you clear your yard of the junk that was left from Jardinero's garden, Leafos', Seedos', and Storkos' dad. (You will later learn that Dastardos is a part of the family, an evil pinata-smashing, Professor Pester when you come to the garden.) The next pinata is the Sparrowmint, which will appear after you romance two Whirlms.

The third to arrive is the Pretztail, at level 3, seeking out the Bunnycombs and Cluckles that you will make resident later in the game.

The fourth, but not last to arrive is the Buzzlegum, which will become available when you have two buttercups in your garden. To make resident of this pinata, simply have six buttercups fully grown.
7. What is the name given to pinatas born looking different, (Very Rare)?

Answer: Wild-Card

First off, I would like to say that "fish-eater" has nothing to do with the game, it is just something I threw in. Bingo is not correct, because it does not fit with the game. This is a pinata island we are talking about! We should keep this in mind when we come to Jackpot, which is also not correct, for the same reason.

A wild-card is correct. For example, Whirlms are orange worms. The wild-card Whirlm however, is not ordinary, as it has spikes down its back, therefore different from the rest.
8. How much are barkbarks and at what level do they appear?

Answer: 2310 Chocolate Coins, Level 14

Barkbarks are a domestic breed of pinata that are available at level 6, for 2310 chocolate coins. They are very easy to breed, because you can buy them and one of their romance requirements, the collar, at Mrs. Petula's Paper Pet Shop. You can find the collar in this shop after level 6, under the gift and under the neck section(s).

The other romance requirements include a bone, and a Barkbark house. In the general store, there will be a produce section. Here, you will find the bone needed for the requirement.

This shop comes available after level 2, and the bone comes after level 4. A barkbark's house is equivalent to 1155 chocolate coins, and is in the form of a diner. The barkbark also has two mortal enemies, the Kittyfloss, available after level 6, and the Roario, able to come to your garden at level 38 and after.
9. To make a Chewnicorn resident, you have to have a gem tree and _____.

Answer: have the Chewnicorn eat 15 gems.

The correct answer was to have the Chewnicorn eat 15 gems. The chewnicorn has two ways to get these gems, as there are two ways you can attempt to get the gems. One way is to fertilize the gem tree and usce the produced gems for the requirement. Another way would be to buy the gems from Ivor's shop.

Here, you can buy both the gem tree seed and the gems, along with other items of useful importance for later in the game. Having the Chewnicorn eat a water lily seed would be changing the Chewnicorn to a pink varient. Having the Chewnicorn eat an ear of corn would be changing the Chewnicorn to a yellow variant. Having the Chewnicorn eat both a water lily and bluebell flower would make a blue variant. *Please note that a pinata can not be made a variant until they are a resident.*
10. Jameleons can change colors.

Answer: False

Surprisingly, this Chameleon-like pinata can not change color. The jameleon is an easy pinata to attract and make resident, because the only requirement is for 5 different colored flutterscotches. The jameleon also has a wild fear of Bonboons, so if you want a jameleon in your garden, keep clear of Bonboons.

The jameleon's housing is equivalent to 825 chocolate coins, and the house resembles a purple and green camo tent. The jameleon's variant colors are blue, orange with dark pink and purple stripes, and white with purple and light pink stripes.

The original colors of the jameleon are purple and green.
