Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The lights have just gone out. You are planning to make a typical Spanish omelette. So first you need to find the key ingredient. You go to the pantry and feel around until you find several large - what?

Answer: patatas

Of course, the opening ingredient in a Spanish omelette is potatoes. You must select several and slice them into tiny squares ready to cook.
2. Now ingredient one is prepared, to continue making your omelette you must return to the pantry and feel around until you find what other key vegetable, one that makes you cry?

Answer: cebolla

Yes, the next thing you must do is chop an onion nice and small. Be careful not to cry! A tip is to wash it under water first which softens it and reduces the chances of your eyes watering.
3. Now, to continue this famous Spanish dish, you must turn the hob on, and then search in the cupboard for what large object to fry the vegetables in?

Answer: sartén

Yes, obviously a frying pan is what you need! Season slightly with some salt and pepper and then fry until potatoes are brown.
4. No omelette is complete without the main component, so open the fridge and search around for six of what item?

Answer: huevos

Eggs is the correct answer! I don´t know how the omelette would turn out without them so it's best to remember them!
5. When making an omelette, you must always add a dash of milk. You will need what utensil to stir it well?

Answer: batidor

Yes, a whisk is what you need! I'd like to see somebody try using pastry cutters - that would certainly be interesting!
6. Now you've stirred the omelette mix, it is time to add the cooked ingredients and put it back in the pan. Don't forget to add this component though so it doesn't stick.

Answer: se puede usar los tres

Sorry a slight trick to that question! Of course you can use any of the three but if you want to be properly Spanish, then I advise olive oil!
7. After 10 minutes of cooking that side of the omelette, it is time to flip it over. We don't do it pancake style, so rather grab what object to help turn it over?

Answer: plato

Ok this was quite easy. Even if you don't speak Spanish, I imagine you used your common sense to figure out you need a plate to flip it!
8. After cooking the omelette for 10 more minutes, it's time to serve, so you grab what device to cut it?

Answer: cuchillo

The knife is my best advice here. Of course, you could try using a fork, spoon or chopstick but I personally wouldn't advise it! Although remember you are doing this in the dark so it could be less painful that way!
9. Now you want to serve this omelette up with a nice accompaniment, so you take out what crusty item and warm it up in the oven?

Answer: barra de pan

Although these other things can be crusty, I am sure what you want to eat alongside your omelette is some crusty bread!
10. Now the omelette is ready to eat and there is still no light, so you consider lighting a candle to set the mood. But first you need to find what item(s)?

Answer: cerillas

If you want to light a candle, it's going to be a bit difficult with a tap or some headphones. Although car headlights are bright, I don't think they'll help you this time, so matches are the answer!
