1. In the US, what school grades are the Cub Scouts meant for?

Answer: Kindergarten to 5th

Cub Scouts are meant for elementary school children to both prepare them for Boy Scouts and to help them learn to be better people.
2. What is the very first badge a Cub Scout can earn?

Answer: Bobcat

The Tiger Cub program have now been fully integrated with the rest of the Cub Scouting, so the cubs now earn a rank badge.
3. There never was a Lion badge.

Answer: False

The Lion badge was taken out of the Cub Scout program in 1967 and replaced by the first Webelos badge. The old Webelos badge was replaced by the Arrow of Light Badge.
4. At what rank can a Cub Scout normally use a knife?

Answer: Bear

When a Cub Scout knows enough to handle a knife he gets a special card called a Whittling Chip that shows he can use a knife safely. Although there is no requirement for age or rank for a Cub Scout to earn his Whittling Chip, it is not presented until the Bear book so most do not earn it until then.
5. What is the short form of "We'll be loyal scouts"?

Answer: Webelos

Take out the "We", "be", "lo", and "s" from each word in the phrase to form the word "Webelos."

Tiger Scouts now wear the regular Cub Scout uniform. They used to wear a orange shirt with a tiger paw on the top left though.

The Cub Scouts use dens the same way a groups of wolves do. A den is a group of wolves or Cub Scouts and the dens join together to form packs. In the UK it's often called a "pack".

That is the main part of the Webelos program. They learn all of the slogans and the oath and they earn badges similar to the Boy Scout merit badges.

Answer: Do your best.

"Do a good turn daily," and "Be prepared," are the Boy Scout slogan and motto respectively, not the Cub Scouts and "Always help others," is just a motto I made up.
10. Which of the following can Cub Scouts NOT earn as belt loops?

Answer: Rifle Shooting

Cub Scout earn belt loops in subjects they have learned about, and have participated in. Even though archery and BB gun shooting are dangerous Cub Scouts can still participate in them at a certified BSA camp, with someone certified watching and teaching them.
