Lenin returned from exile in Switzerland and overthrew the Russian Provisional Government in the October Revolution (which actually occurred in November 1917) and is often referred to simply as the Russian Revolution.

Answer: Mao Zedong

He is well known for the "Little Red Book", the "Great Leap Forward" and the "Cultural Revolution". He established the People's Republic of China in 1949. It is widely claimed that he caused even more deaths than Stalin.

Answer: Yuan Shikai

In 1915-16 he attempted to restore the monarchy (Empire) in China, but failed after two months as Emperor. Shikai was also well-known for his strong belief in a military dictatorship.
