Aulus Gellius was a Roman writer and lawyer who lived in the 2nd century AD. Gellius wrote "Noctes Atticae" ("Attic Nights") while in Athens for a year. Noctes Atticae is a collection of discussions of law, antiquities and various other subjects in 20 books, of which just over 19 survive.

Answer: Kenneth I MacAlpin

Kenneth I MacAlpin began to rule both of these groups in 846 AD. James I was a member of the Stuart Line (1406-1437). John Balliol was King of Scots from 1292-1296. His abdication in 1296 led to the Second Interregnum which was from 1296-1306. William the Lion succeeded his brother Malcolm IV as King of Scotland in 1165.
