The 1947 plate was dark blue with white characters, and included the slogan 'Vacation Wonderland'.
5. Slogan found on license plates in American Samoa....

Answer: Motu O Fiafiaga

The term Motu O Fiafiaga is Samoan for 'Island of Paradise'.
6. Manitoba license plate slogan....

Answer: 100,000 Lakes

Along with the '100,000 Lakes' slogan, this plate also had the slogan 'Sunny Manitoba' and the image of a buffalo's head. A little overkill?
7. The few cars registered in Prince Edward Island in 1919 were issued porcelain license plates. What were the colors?

Answer: Dark Blue on Light Blue

The 1919 is a truly gorgeous plate, and a rare find - the background color is almost a pale periwinkle.
8. License Plate Slogan: America's Day Begins in

Answer: Guam

There are actually a few license plates from Wake Island with the slogan 'America's Day REALLY Begins on ... WAKE ISLAND' - made up by servicemen on Wake as an answer to the Guam issue's slogan.
9. A short lived series of Puerto Rico license plates in the 1980's had a tiny image of a Coqui in the center. What was it?

Answer: A frog

As well as the little 'coqui' frog being too small to really be legible, the commonwealth's name, as well as the slogan 'ISLA DEL ENCANTO' was too small to be read, which led to a quick dismissal of this design.
10. Canal Zone license plates have used the following slogan....

Answer: Funnel For World Commerce

Various license plates were used in Canal Zone from 1910 (six vehicles) through 1979. The hardest type to find is the 'N' prefix, said to be used on Clergy and Salvation Army vehicles. It's likely that the 'N' stood for Non-Profit Vehicles.
