ADPi was founded May 15 1851 at Wesleyan College in Georgia.

Prior to Gamma Phi Beta being founded in 1874, all other sororities were officially called women's fraternities, and many are official fraternities today.

Kappa was founded at Monmouth College in Illinois on October 13 1870.
4. These two sororities share the lion as a mascot.

Both DPhiE and SDT were formed in 1917, but Sigma Delta Tau was formed March 25th, 8 days after Delta Phi Epsilon.
