Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the deepest subway station in the system?

Answer: 191 Street

191 Street on the 1&9 is the deepest subway station at 160 feet under the surface.
2. Until 2009, when a new station was opened, how many cars were normally able to open their doors at South Ferry?

Answer: Five

The station was very small, being one of the first stations ever opened in New York. Because of its size and configuration it only had room for the first 5 cars of a subway train to open its doors for passenger entering and leaving the train. Recently a new station was built and is now open (as of 2009) and now all cars can open their doors. (Thanks to Fredsixties for this update)
3. Which of these stations has the narrowest platform?

Answer: Cleveland Street

The platform at Cleveland Street Station is so narrow that there are only two turnstiles for fare control.
