Ford let the Mustang out of the stable in 1964, and within the first 18 months of sales, over 1 million cars were sold!

Answer: 1968 Fastback

McQueen drove the 1968 390 Fastback in "BULLITT". I admit to owning the DVD only for the infamous chase scene.
3. What was the one and only year Ford did not offer a V-8 engine?

Answer: 1974

The first year of the Mustang II, 1974, Ford did not offer the V-8 engine. The only optional engine that year was the 2.6L V-6. Amidst massive consumer complaints, Ford did offer 302ci V-8 engine in 1975, but the horsepower rating was a paltry 140hp.
4. The 1979 to 1993 Mustangs are widely known by what name?

Answer: Fox bodies

They are known as "Fox bodies" because they were built on the Fox platform starting in 1979. The end of the Fox bodies came in 1993 with the introduction of the SN-95 Mustang for the 1994 model year. The SN-95 Mustangs were built on a modified Fox platform, known as the Fox-4.
