Kudos to the powers that be for coming up with another enjoyable game that makes F.T an even more attractive place to "hang".

Kysus beat me in a game today. Well done, my friend. Or it would be, if all my scores today weren't so abysmal...even in topics I'm normally fairly good at. *sigh*

OK - I've been around for a few years, but I don't know what the heck you mean when you speak of a 'mulligan'.
Can someone enlighten me about this word that everyone knows but me?

In competitive play it means a second chance outside of the normal course of play as an attempt to correct a botched initial effort which is blamed on unnaturally difficult circumstances, which might lead to a plea like "c'mon, a tree branch fell and smashed the windshield of my brand new car just as I realeased the javelin and the shock of seeing that messed up my throw. Can I get a mulligan? ".

I would say more about the specific origin but as this is the third time I have seen this questioned asked here...I decided to throw it in as a single question so as to fulfill a Daily Challenge and I don't want to spoil the ending

mpkitty, a mulligan is available for the Expert game once a week with Level Perks. Terry had out a twice a week mulligan for the Duels. But by the next day, he changed some programming around so that if the game freezes before we see questions we can restart without getting the penalty. And with that change, the mulligans were gone.

Answerman, I hate to tell you this... but I just got a question about where the term "mulligan" came from - in my daily duel!

Hmm what did it say? (mail it if you want to preserve whatever shred of viability my question may have left ;)

That is the only thing I don't like about the "Is your question or something similar already here?" check for single questions...it only checks the single questions pool so it is very possible you are duplicating something from a quiz.

I shuddered when I saw the categories today, but actually ended up doing quite well. Just goes to show that you should never lose hope. If the categories are hard for you, they are likely to be just as hard for your opponent. Did think it was a bit unfair to pair me with a Brit on "UK Football Stadiums," but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

I've sent you a note, answerman.:)

Daver, pairing you with a Brit on Football stadiums is only fair, given how often baseball questions come up on this site!

ARG! One of my two wins today was against my friend Varnish. Sorry about that, buddy!

Yes it was only fair to have UK Football Stadiums as the Television category today was completely USA-biased.

I know it all evens out in the long run, but yesterday I felt like I'd been sucker-punched. I lost 6 duels in a row, and in every match my score was 970 or higher. I feel better today, but I lost UK Football Fields to a British player also, thats OK, but did they really have to be from Manchester? D

This is getting suspicious. I was also matched with someone from the UK for the Stadiums optic. Has the
Duel matched two Brits together?

Just wondering, US vs Brits in number of players? I know we are equal...

I'm getting used to "Manchester", "Arsenal" etc...

(insert banned words here)

The Duel froze on the second question for Scotland so I had to reload, which meant a halved score. I would have won without that? Boo!

Considering I didn't think I would have done well on this topic, I would have been proud of my 932 score. Oh well. I'm sure some people have lot to me due to the same circumstances.

I won my UK Stadiums. with two correct. Which was better than the Brady Bunch, Disney Channel, or Seinfeld.

I actually won my NFL Alumni duel with my worst score of the day. Waiting for cricket to come up, so I can take my revenge, Mike.

Got a great score on NFL Alumni, for a Brit anyway, but got matched up to a American who got all 10 correct. Swings and roundabouts!

Had a good day today though :)

I got 10 victories yesterday but I haven't been awarded the Frantic Dueler badge. Does anyone know what could be wrong? It says: "Awarded to a player who defeats 10 opponents in a single day in the FunTrivia Duel daily game. " and looking at my results yesterday it tells me I have 10 victories.
Did I perhaps miss something?
