Goodness. It's been a very long time since I got my favorite Difficult Daily Challenge - cumulative points scored in a day in the Global Challenge. But finally it came through. My favorite Difficult Daily Challenge today was actually a close call. The categories in the GC were not particularly favorable for me at all. Quick question. I hit the final division just a short time ago, and the progress bar was replaced with "You are an Immortal! Congratulations!" May I assume advancement is still calculated in level 10, even if the % bar is no longer displayed? Reply #9965. Dec 28 23, 4:44 AM |

So there are 50 players (this go-round) overall in the 10th division ... of whom four are first-time Immortals. That means we keep going till we get 26 more new Immortals ... or 50 more total. I wonder which will happen first. Either way, it sounds like it'll be a while yet... Has this been a longer-than-average Global already? Or am I just imagining? Reply #9968. Dec 31 23, 8:41 AM |

As someone who sacrificed precious minutes of free time daily in the thick of exam seasons to finally become an immortal,I commend you all who put the time and consistency yearly ??. The anxiety of forgetting and then waking up suddenly from sleep to ensure I played each round was crazy at times. There will be a few more than 100 immortals because those playing in hardcore mode do not count towards the total. And we won't hit 30 new immortals given that there are only 11 more people that have never made immortal in the current top 125 so we'd need to see all of them plus another 10 or so make it into the top 100 in the nest few days. Congratulations, welovetolaugh. I think almost everyone who's ever played a GC knows that anxious worry of a missed set -- especially when the competition is fierce. I think anyone can and should consider themselves a winner who played all the way through to the end, who gave it their best. A rare close call today on my favorite Difficult Daily Challenge: the target was to score 13,236 points cumulatively in GC games today. My final total was 13,589 points. So we are near the end of the run (although so far Terry has not appeared on the Discussion Forums to announce he is ending it) and - whaddya know? I got my favorite Difficult Daily Challenge again today: the target was 13,272 cumulative GC points and my actual total was 14,252 points, so a comfortable margin today. Now at 1.4% advancement into Division 10. Yes. The run needs to be ended and also care should be taken to disable all GC-related Daily Challenges as well. We do this same thing every few months, and yet there always seem to be hiccups with how the runs end. But if I have to play again tomorrow (or even longer than that), I will. Reply #9978.
