Deaths prior to the Siege
• Aaron Sherritt, killed by Joe Byrne. Whilst this was not at Glenrowan, it was the day prior and was very much a part of the overall plan. Police were also fired at in Aaron's hut, however none were hit.
Deaths during the Siege
• Dan Kelly died in the Inn from unknown cause. (Dan was possibly wounded in the leg).
• Steve Hart died in the Inn from unknown cause.
• Joe Byrne died in the Inn, from a wound to the groin from a police bullet. (possibly as he toasted the Kelly Gang) Also Joe was wounded in the leg at the start of the shooting.
• Martin Cherry (Prisoner) shot by a police bullet, died as soon as he was removed from the Inn.
• John (Jack) Jones (Publican's son) shot by a police bullet in the stomach (or hip), died the following night in hospital. (he cried out, "Oh Mother, I am shot")

By the end of the weekend of June 26th to June 28th, 1880, the weekend of Ned Kellys last stand at Glenrowan, six people had been killed: Aaron Sherritt had been murdered by gang member Joe Byrne who was himself later shot and killed by police; gang members Dan Kelly and Steve Hart had committed suicide trapped inside the Ann Jones Inn, and tragically Martin Cherry and Johnny Jones, innocent hostages imprisoned in the Inn by Ned Kelly were caught in the crossfire and also killed by Police bullets.
