Not surprising is the actor (Keith Larson) who played Brave Eagle was of Norwegian descent.

The series run from September 1955 until March 1956 (1 season with 26 episodes). It was not only remarkable because of having an American Indian character as a lead character but also because it reflected the Native American viewpoint of the settlement of the West.
