This is the first series that Mercedes wrote. It stars Talia, who ends up being the Queen's Own Herald with her grove-born Companion, Rolan.

It's also in this series that Talia finds her life-bond (Dirk,) and we find out that Kris dies in the second book of the series, "Arrow's Flight."

2. Which book is Tal Rufen the star character of?

Answer: Four and Twenty Blackbirds

Tal Rufen is a constable who solves some murders that happen when he's on duty.
This is a book in the "Bardic Voices" series.

3. Which book does Gawaine star in?

Here, we read more about the Dark Elf Naitachal and his human bardling apprentice, Gawaine, who also the son of the King.

4. In which book is Kevin one of the main characters?

In the last book, "Magic's Price," Vanyel sacrifices his life so he can save Valdemar. He also gains a new life-bond, Stefen a Bard.

Alberich the weaponsmaster stars in two books, "Exile's Honor," which is the story of how he became a Herald, and "Exile's Valor," which is about how he helped Seleny.
