However, the general larger population of North America and their European ancestry means that the single country with most green eyes may be USA with an estimated 30 million.

Say Ireland has about 35% with green eyes and USA has about 9%, Ireland might have up to 2 million green eyed people, but USA would have 30 million! Scotland and Ireland only have about 12 million full population (of all eye colours) between them.
