Branagh, as the evil Iago, tells Fishburne, as Othello, to "beware jealousy... the green-eyed monster" whilst really trying to convince Othello that he should be jealous, due to the actions of the latter's wife, Desdemona. Olivier and Jacobi appear in the 1965 version of "Othello".

Melanie (Olivia de Havilland) is married to the object of Scarlett's desire, Ashley Wilkes (Leslie Howard). Melanie is such a sweet person that she never thinks ill of Scarlett, and counts her as a friend always. Suellen and Carreen are Scarlett's sisters, and Prissy is pressed into service to help Scarlett deliver Melanie's baby in beleaguered Atlanta.

Gilda's theme song is "Put the Blame on Mame", sung more than once by the character (dubbed by Anita Ellis). On one occasion Hayworth performs a seductive dance along with the song. The film is set in Argentina, just at the end of WWII and involves casinos, cartels and romance. Stuck on a cargo ship in a "safe" area of the Pacific, Roberts (Henry Fonda) longs to catch up with the task force and join the fighting before the war is over. He envies the men aboard those ships. His captain (James Cagney) refuses to approve his transfer requests, so Roberts carries on with his duties as cargo officer and does his best to secure liberty for the crew who are long overdue for it. Things come to a head when Victory in Europe is announced, and after Roberts deals with the palm tree, symbol of the captain's tyranny, the crew try to help the lieutenant get his wish.

Noel Coward himself plays Captain Kinross, as well as directing and writing this "story of a ship", told in flashback as survivors of its sinking cling to a life raft in the Mediterranean. In one of these scenes the ship's officers are entertaining their wives and girlfriends on board ship, and during a round of toasts the captain's wife advises the younger women that they will have to compete with HMS Torrin for their men's affection.

Although Scar kills Mufasa (Jones) and blames Simba (Jonathan Taylor Thomas, and later Broderick), the latter grows up among friends, including Timon (Lane). Once grown, Simba is in a position to deal with his uncle.

Irons' other credits include "Reversal of Fortune" (1990), for which he received a Best Actor Oscar, and also "Die Hard, with a Vengeance" (1995).

As well as playing M in several "James Bond" movies, Dame Judi Dench has appeared in "Philomena" (2013) and 2011's "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" and its 2015 sequel.
