The 1972 "The Godfather" was originally nominated for best score and then revoked because it was discovered composer Nino Rota had reused some of his music from the 1958 film "Fortunatella." Of course, the question that begs to be asked is how many of the fans of "The Godfather" actually saw the Italian comedy "Fortunatella?"
