If two is company, but three is a crowd, then what is four?

Well, if you'd asked, "What is four and five?" I'd say, "Nine." (We've had that question before.) In the absence of five, I'll just suggest that four is the beginning of a party.

What kind of party I'll leave up to the imagination.

Four is the only number that is spelled whith an amount of letters that is exactly equal to its value!

Four is any number of things not related to the original idea. "Two's company, three's a crowd" is the entire idiom, meant to express the idea that two people can relax and enjoy each others' presence, but more can cause discomfort. Helpfully extending the idiom to four does nothing to extend its intended meaning.
