Answer: Paulie

This happened during the scene where Juno had confronted Paulie about him asking Katrina to the Prom. It turned into an argument about the the night she got pregnant. She got mad and left.

The rug is seen in the very humorous scene in which Juno has set up furniture on Bleeker's front lawn. She then proceeds to tell him that she's pregnant.

Mark wanted to live in Chicago and play music for a living, so the couple ended up getting a divorce. Although she wanted a "real" family for her baby, Juno let Vanessa adopt him.

Vanessa does get to keep the baby. The night that she and Mark have a fight Juno drops off a note that says "Vanessa, I'm still in it if you're still in it.". We see Vanessa with the baby and the note is framed and hung where their first family photo would have gone if Mark hadn't left Vanessa. Vanessa does end up painting the baby's room yellow.

Juno explains that her father was obsessed with Roman mythology and Juno was the name of Jupiter's wife. While Jupiter had many lovers, Juno was his only wife. Jupiter and Juno are better known by their Greek equivalent names, Zeus and Hera. According to Juno, her namesake was "really pretty, but also really mean, like Diana Ross".

She specifically mentioned it was "the fat one, the one in 'The Goonies'", which would have been Samwise played by actor/director Sean Astin. Once in Paulie's room she told him that her parents wouldn't rat him out as the father, and then went on to talk a little about Mark and Vanessa.

Paulie didn't like the idea at all, as he was in love with Juno. He said that Katrina, and her entire house, smelled like soup. Leah later confirmed this to be true when she informed Juno that he was taking her to Prom. It was actually to be Benihana, then Prom, then VJ's parents' cabin. Paulie confirmed all this to Juno as well.
