Answer: Marion Ravenwood

Indiana Jones scoured throughout Cairo in search of the Ark of the Covenant and he donned a disguise so he would not be caught. He went into a tent and noticed that Marion was alive and tied up there. Marion demanded that he cut her loose but Indy refused to do it, citing reasons pertaining to potential captivity for both of them. He promised Marion he would come back for her.

Answer: They closed their eyes and didn't look at the spirits.

Indy and Marion were spared because they did not watch the ritual. They shut their eyes instead and so they escaped with the Ark. One interesting note: In the original screenplay, Indy and Marion were supposed to escape as the Ark was opened. They were to run into a cave and escape on a mining car. This scene was scrapped and used in "Indiana Jones and The Temple Of Doom."

Answer: Goes for a drink

When Indiana is drinking, two men come to him and take him to Belloq.

They certainly die a horrible death, having their faces melt off. One even has his head explode!

Indiana finds Marion in Nepal, where she owns and runs a bar. We first see her drinking a guy under the table.

Though dynamite would be a great idea, there was none handy at the time and digging...well they would still be there today. A sledgehammer? The nearest thing they had to a sledge was the torches that they had.

Midway through the movie, Rene went to the tent where Marion was being held captive and he had her ropes untied. Marion tried to escape but Rene told her she could not do that since the desert was too big for her and therefore he encouraged her to eat something. While Marion had a couple of bites to eat, Rene showed Marion a dress and told her he would like to see her wear it. Marion put on the dress for Rene's pleasure.

Answer: It got put into a warehouse.

At the end of the movie, Indy and Marion returned safely with the Ark. In dramatic irony, the Ark was sealed in a wooden crate and stored in a giant government warehouse filled with countless other similar crates.

They go to Cairo to look up one of Indiana's friends and an update on how the Germans are doing looking for the Ark.

But of course Marion is not dead and Indiana gets into a drunken stupor for no reason.

Belloq is another archaeologist but takes credit for Indiana's hard work.

The plan backfires and ends up killing the monkey when it eats one of the poisoned dates.

Hundreds of asps line the floor of the chamber, but Indiana tames his fear.

He gets a dress for her and then she gets into it and tries to get him drunk so she can escape.
