She tells the girls how she is joining them from a somewhat progressive convent. Mary Patrick, who is always full of sunshine, is excited to have a new member and suggests that Mary Clarence should offer the day's blessing.

The kids were so noisy that you couldn't hear yourself think. Sister Mary Lazarus told Deloris to be tough as nails and that gave her an idea. When she went back into the classroom she ran her nails down the blackboard and that shut the kids up and got their attention quick.

When Deloris is finally convinced by Tina and Michelle to open the box from Vince, she is ecstatic to find the beautiful purple mink coat. When she goes to try it on, she looks at the tag and is crushed when she finds Vince's wife's name sewn in it. All she can say is "Connie LaRocca." Vince had given her his wife's purple mink coat. Poor Deloris!

The kids put glue on her chair. When Deloris shows up the kids act all innocent but when she sits her butt is glued to the chair. At first she is really angry but she ends up staying much to the kids chagrin.

Reverend Mother names off the three vows and when she gets to the vow of chastity, Deloris tries to leave but Reverend Mother stops her. Deloris: "Oh, man". She really doesn't like the chastity vow does she?

Mother Superior was not a racist, but she described Deloris as a "conspicuous person, designed to stick out".

The Mother Superior and the rest of the sisters hide Deloris Van Cartier to rejuvenate the school without the fathers or Mr. Crisp. So they create the return of Sister Mary Clarence.

Connie LaRocca is sitting on the couch at the home she and Vince share and is watching the story of St. Katherine's choir and their newly found activity with the community. Mary Clarence is supposed to be in hiding, but ends up with her face on the news! Connie is persistently trying to get Vince to look at the TV, but he is too caught caught up in his game of pool to actually pay attention to the news. This part in the movie always makes me want to distract Vince to make sure that he doesn't look at the TV!

Deloris tells the other sisters what she heard about the school closing at the end of the semester. They decide they are going to do as much as they can before the school closes. It's very sad.

This is one of my favorite scenes. She and Reverend Mother did not like each other in the beginning and Deloris gave her a hard time. I couldn't help but laugh when she said that line.

Her original intention was to say something else in place of the word 'bless', but then decided against it, since she was still in the presence of the nuns.

Joey shot him in the head and Deloris saw everything.

Rita Louise Watson just wanted things to stay the same in the music class. Her mother has convinced her that music is a useless career, so Rita just wants the music class to be a place where she and her friends can hang out and listen to music, sing, and rap.

Lt. Souther comes to get Deloris out of the convent when he finds out that Vince knows where she is hiding. She doesn't want to abandon the nuns right before their big debut for the Pope, so she goes into the "little nun's room" to get away from him. When she comes out the outside door, she runs into Mary Robert and a couple of other unexpected faces... Willy and Joey! They then grab both Mary Clarence and Mary Robert. They throw them in the limo and haul butt! Willy is sitting in the back holding a gun to Deloris' head and tells them that they are taking them back to the Moonlight Lounge. Thank goodness Mary Robert gets away or else Deloris may have been killed!

The sisters enter the kids in a music competition and then tell them all about it. They think it's a bad idea at first, but then they talk about it and realize that it's a good idea. The money they raise from it could help keep the school open.

Deloris is shown doing all these things and the only one that she seemed to like was washing the car. She was dancing and singing along with "Rescue Me". Reverend Mother tapped on the window and scolded her. Deloris just smiled at her. I like the part when Deloris sits down and pets the dog.

"Sister Act II: Back in the Habit" was Jennifer Love Hewett's third movie...fourth if you count the made-for-RV movie. Her first role was "Kids Incorporated", but she is better known for her movies and TV series after "Sister Act II: Back in the Habit".

When the nuns finally catch up to Deloris after their helicopter ride to the Moonlight Lounge, they all scatter about the casino to lose and confuse Vince, Willy and Joey. Deloris directs them to an exit of the building where they all try to sneak out. Before they can, Vince, Willy and Joey show up behind them and draw Deloris out of the crowd of nuns. Vince orders Joey to shoot Deloris, but he won't do it because she is still in her nun habit. So, as Vince raises his gun to shoot her, Lt. Souther comes at just the right time and shoots Vince through the window in his arm. Vince lets out a loud yell and grabs his arm in pain!
