During the opening scene, Big and Little Enos meet with Bandit to offer him the challenge. During this conversation, Little Enos suggests he might be scared of taking the bet when Bo offers up "Great psychology. Why don't you say something bad about my mother?"
Little Enos obliges with "Your momma is so ugly..." before being interrupted by Big Enos.
We never get to hear the punch line which adds to the humor.

The car Pontiac had picked for the good sheriff's car was the Pontiac LeMans. This car was boxy in the front and rounded in the back. By the end of the movie, the car Sheriff Justice was using would be missing the roof, door, and a wheel, which came off during the closing credits of the movie.

As Bandit and Frog try to elude Sheriff Justice down a dirt road, Frog is not paying attention, jumps an embankment and lands the car right in the middle of a high school football game. Sheriff Justice rolls up and tells Junior to check and see where they went. Sheriff Justice asks "Do you see anythin'?" Junior responds "A football game, Daddy. Can we watch?" Sheriff Justice says "You stay and watch the game. I'm goin' back!" As he backs up in a hurry, Junior falls out what is left of the windshield area. If you recall from earlier in the movie, the top of the car is ripped off when Sheriff Justice accidentally drives under a semi truck.

After the opening scene with the one truck driver getting arrested for bootlegging in Georgia, Big and Little Enos are riding through the rodeo fairgrounds in their Cadillac. Little Enos is not so sure of his daddy's scheme to get the Bandit to do this run for them. He says "I don't think he's gonna go for your game." Big Enos then says "Son, the thing about the Bandit is he'll try anything; legal or not."

Burt Reynolds plays the Bandit, who is running bootleg beer from Texarkana, Texas to Atlanta, Georgia. One of the main flaws of the movie, however, is that Texarkana, TX is dry. To get beer, you have to go to Arkansas.

Snowman was played by Jerry Reed. In the movies he drives the truck, accompanied by his dog Fred. He often wears a cowboy hat, just like Bandit. Jerry Reed is also known for other movies he played in, like 'The Survivors'. Reed died in 2008 at the age of 71.

Running from her wedding, Carrie flags down Bandit who picks her up - she then begins to change clothes. After seeing Frog changing in the car ahead of him, Snowman asks, "Is she wearing a wedding dress?"
Bandit responds smugly, "She was." to which an excited Jerry Reed follows up with, "What's she wearing now, come back?!
Hey, you got peanut butter or somethin in your ears? Tell me what that woman's got on! Her mind? 10-4!"

Answer: Silver Tongued Devil

In the movie, he alerted the Bandit of a "county mounty roadblock" which he had passed through and had gotten a ticket for something. He alerted the Bandit that the roadblock was at the Fayetteville Exit at Interstate 82. Silver Tongue Devil was introduced towards the beginning of the movie. He was called Silver Tongue Devil because he would always look out for other truckers and alert them to dangers even if he was in a "bear trap" himself.

As Bandit and Frog are heading back down the highway again, Bandit asks Snowman how they are doing on the time. Cletis exclaims that they are losing time and as he is saying this he sees a highway patrol car going in the opposite direction. He says "Whoa! I just saw another Kojak with a Kodak. This place is crawlin' with bears. Where the heck are you?" Bandit replies "I'm still trying to get rid of the Texas county mounty. I don't know what the heck he wants." Cletis asks hypothetically "How would you like to be the one to handcuff a legend?" Bandit states that they are going to put some moves on him and that they will meet him at "Old Miss".

As Big and Little Enos approach the Bandit, they find him snoozing behind his rig. Big Enos says to the Bandit "Bandit. Me and my son are here." Bandit wakes up and looks at the two guys. He laughs at the sight of them and says, Oh, it must be a ... getting a size 68 extra fat. And a 12 dwarf." Big Enos ignores the jab and talks to Bandit about the challenge ahead of him. Bandit accepts and starts working out the details.

Remember how many dashes the terrified car vandal said when Sheriff Justice asked him for Bandit's plate? Which was right after Buford's famous 'Attention Getter'.

Burt asks how many cases he'll be picking up. The reply: 'Well, I got a few friends and me... 400 cases'.

Buford is in a hurry to eat and get back on the road after the Bandit who, unbeknownst to him, is at the next bar stool.
Buford isn't inclined to oblige Junior and told him, "We got no time for that crap."

The truck used in the movie was a Kenworth W900 Conventional Cab. There were three of these trucks used throughout the movie and they were all painted the famous coffee brown color with two wide gold stripes down each side. The trailer used in the movie was a 48' Hobbs trailer which was built in Texas. It had a King "reefer" (refrigeration)unit on it to keep the beer cold.

Bandit stops and gets gas in Mississippi and then heads towards Alabama. As he gets into Alabama, he sees a road block and tears off down a side country road. This road runs parallel to a stream where there is an apparent road on the other side. Bandit turns the car in the direction of the stream and asks "Ready to do some pond hoppin', Frog?" Frog replies "Swell." Bandit tears down the embankment and shoves through the stream. An Alabama cop tries to pursue him, but ends up flooding out in the middle of the stream. At the end of this scene, the cop car is hooked to the tow truck as Sheriff Justice rolls by. He pulls over and asks the cop if the Bandit has been by. While he's talking to the tow truck driver, a car carrier is coming down the road with an Oriental man behind the wheel. He spots the sheriff's door open on his cruiser and says, "Bonzai!" as he takes the door right off the car - probably one of my favorite scenes in the whole film.

Bandit shows up at the home of Cletis "Snowman" Snow. He goes into Snowman's bedroom where Cletis is sleeping inverted on his bed. Bandit explains to him that they have a chance to make a run for some big cash. Cletis, half asleep, sarcastically asks "Oh yeah? Whadda we gonna do? Kidnap the Pope or somethin'?" Bandit jabs back with "How d'ya guess? No, we are just going over to Texarkana, Texas, pick up a load of Coors and bring it back in 28 hours. Cletis warns him that it's called bottleggin' and that's against the law. Bandit doesn't care and is not even paying attention to Cletis's warning.

Snowman was a friend of the Bandit who hauled the beer. He also played the music for the movie.

The restroom locks were coin operated prompting Frog to ask for a dime to avoid doing just what Bandit told her to do which was crawl under the stall.

After the diner scene, Carrie was in command of the Trans Am. As she made a left hand turn, she cut off a funeral procession. In the hearse, one of the guys said, "Hey, you know who that was? Check this out. Hey, Bandit, this here's the Graverobber. Put your foot on the floor and we'll hold this county mounty as long as possible. Come on?" Bandit told Carrie to go and she said "I'm going I'm going! I've got the medal to the pedal and the thing to the floor!" That line was most likely an outtake, but was left in for comedic purposes.
