Esther 9:26 "Wherefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore for all the words of this letter, and of that which they had seen concerning this matter, and which had come unto them."
Purim is also known as the Festival of Lots. Purim takes place in the month of Adar (on the Gregorian calendar it falls between February and March). During this holiday, Jewish people dress up for costume parades and have carnivals. They also have festive meals that day.
